New Hair, Bengal Games, a Kitty and a Piano....
You Do Not want to ask exactly what this Bengal Game is or how Freaky Venus ended up like this. Venus loves Sweater Days, as she can Attack. Very considerate of her, actually. Much better than bare arms. AH, life with Bengals is not dull. And I wouldn't trade it for all the Mice on the Moon.
Today I get New Hair, Kitty and a Piano! Not often I can say that. Or, well, ever really. Just the way it worked out. It's a very old Piano, and I will tell you the story of how I ended up getting a piano brought to me once I have pictures of it, where it is going to reside. Where ever that is going to be. Once we get it into the Spooky House. How ever we are going to do that.
Details, I say.
Now I just need to learn to PLAY keyboards. My head is backwards. String things, I can play, guitar, violin, mando, but keyboards are flipped. My next door neighbor is a piano teacher. She will teach me. I think my Boss's Girlfriend plays some too. (I slay myself) It's early, indulge me.
And Kitty is coming, which always makes me happy. Having another Assistant in the house is never a bad plan. And we have a lot of fun. I miss her when she is off on tours. Hoping she will bring some Kylie pictures for us (remember her?), as well as take some more, of all the Bengals.
And quite possibly of my New Hair. This hair MAY be different. MIGHT not be purple anymore. Not sure yet. I have 2 hours and 55 minutes to figure that out.
And I to figure out where the Piano is going to go.
I'll leave you with Mim getting on on the Bengal Games...
Love and Pianos,
Lorraine

Kitties!
Demons From Hell!
I think I recognise that game..
I am intrigued by the new hair. Purple is nice, but other colours could be exciting, too. How do you feel about electric blue?
Do Kitty & the piano arrive before or after Hair?
Sounds like a Very Good day is about to happen. Love the Venus sweater game. Cats play the best games, and she is considerate to wait for sweaters.
(I've seen Boss's Girlfriend claim that she never learned to play. She could fool me!)
MIGHT be brunette, in different shades. It's going to be real hair this time, not the synthetic. Lots of $$ but really nice.
Hair, then Kitty, then Piano...
Someone had asked about cats and crystals in the last post, and I don't think we answered ...I don't know much, but I think Anna is right, no grain, as close to natural as you can get.
I haven't had it yet with mine, luckily. Anyone?
Hey, good morning.
I'm always amazed by people who taught themselves piano. Someone of that ilk once told me, "It's easy. All the notes are right there." Well: I'm sure they are, but how the heck do you remember where each note is? And then figure out how to make your fingers do what they need to do to hit the right ones?
I played flute. I need fingerings.
I know that game! Dangerous to play with Ally Cat, but Edie Cat is gentle enough that we can play sleeveless. I don't know what's up with that. All the other cats I've eve know use their claws.
Electric blue would be a nod to Coraline-teh-fillum! Wouldn't it.
NO BLUE! I don't want people calling me Coraline!
My day starts now! Adventures begin....
(OK, my day started just before 7, so it has been going for a while, but morning e-mail is settled, and I need to GO..)
Jess: I played the flute in high school! I remember teaching myself to play all sorts of songs. I miss it. I should buy a flute and start playing again. (My high school flute was stepped on at a football game and never played right after that.)
Serious likes playing the grab and kicky the arm game, but I do not, because he does use his claws and doesn't understand that it's no fun for me.
Ah, but bewilderingly lovable demons from hell.
And a moste excellente day before you, but sounds a little light, like you might have time to squeeze in Freeing Tibet or resolving some Global Economic Crises... /kidding
Go forth! \o/
I can play guitar, and did play clarinet onceuponatime, but how the notes work on either still mystifies me. I agree, on piano the notes are all "right there", in order, with increasing pitch from left to right, there. Vulcans should play piano.
Wendy - I tried to teach myself a little Jethro Tull once. It's harder than it sounds! Mostly played by ear in high school, though-- was lousy at sight reading. Squeaked through to first chair once because I had good tone. Bumped down to second after about six months because I bombed the sight reading. :D
Jess, I need fingerings, too. I play a bit of recorder because the notes are all... right there! Strings fascinate me in their apparent subtlety. Never got the hang of piano, either. There's still time.
I'm keeping an eye on Craigslist for pianos. So far I've found some inexpensive ones, but none free. I don't mind paying for one, but if I'm going to do that then I'm going to want it to be checked out first by a trusted expert and that opens this whole other can of worms and it's just so much more complicated than free. The kids start lessons in January.
Dan - what about Freecycle? Worth a shot.
Anna - I tried to get my hubby to teach me the cello once, and was baffled to learn that there aren't really fingerings. No frets like on a guitar-- you just have to sort of learn where the sounds are. Very weird.
Good morning!
New hair. There's something about new hair that gives me a lift every time. Well, color never changes, red going to white. But style, yes.
Love the cat photos. Always have to be in the middle of everything.
Calvin has been feeling so well for the last couple of days that he is underfoot and in our faces again - yea!
I played viola. i was ok with figuring out where the fingers go, it becomes muscle memory after a while. i think it's hurting me when i try to play rockband, because i want to hold the guitar neck like i would a viola, and my wrist ends up hurting after a while. also just can't get the button pressing thing down.
that game looks v. dangerous.
I'm with Nathalie - Kitties!!!
I played clarinet, I need definite fingerings, too. I sold my clarinet years ago to a friend who was a high school music teacher. Always wanted to learn piano, but these days I think I've forgotten how to read music :-(
I play all kinds of instruments, none of them well. I played trombone and trumpet in high school, but have no interest in playing brass now. (Trombone also has no fingerings - you need a good ear.)
Now I play guitar and tin whistle + recorder. I love the mathiness of guitar!* The single-note instruments are easier though. I can play a very little bit on keyboard instruments - I'd like to get a cheap keyboard that I can try to pick it back up on. And I own a harmonica and a bodhran, neither of which I can play worth beans.
* Mathiness of guitar? All the notes are there, but most of them are in several places so you can do the same thing in different ways, and because of equal temperament they sound different. (The way a guitar is tuned is a compromise intended to make sure every interval sounds okay, although only octaves are actually correct. Pianos likewise, but each note only appears once so it isn't as obvious.) And chord construction, and alternate tunings, and .... mathiness!
Yes, I'm a geek. No doubt you knew that already.
I started piano at age 5, learned to sight read then and played flute 6th-11th grade. Piano keys are like motor memory when you learn that young.
Hoping to get Ben going on piano too but don't want to overwhelm him with drums and piano seemed time.
Yay for kitty visiting! And new hair!
I'm afraid my cold is winning, must defeat it. I have a wedding to do Saturday morning!
And every time I sniffle, my voice software types "is"
tick
Jess: I was first chair in middle school. I quit for a while in high school because the band teacher gave me parts the seniors were playing, and I wasn't that good yet, and he'd berate me for messing up in class. I started up again when he quit, then played the bassoon after my flute got stepped on. The bassoon is fun!
I want to see what happened to FabLo's hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the "kick and kill" game. The wild bunny-kicking back feet crack me up, at least until my sweatshirt arm is shredded and I'm going OWWWWW.
Artful Lawyer:
I like the face the cats make during the game. If they're kicking someone else, that is.
Wendy - cool! I always thought the bassoon looked fun, but I was too chicken to switch. Could never make a sound on a oboe reed, so I assumed I wouldn't be able to on a bassoon, either.
The word on twitter is that Q has gone Deadly Nightshade, which probably is just as fabulous as it sounds.
I wasn't thinking of Coraline with the blue hair, just saw a girl with bright blue hair the other day, made me smile.
But Deadly Nightshade sounds very thrilling.
I don't play any musical instruments (although I can pick out 'Silent Night' with 2 fingers on a piano) They cut all teacing of music in school while I was the right kind of age..although once they reinstated it my younger sister (E) and brother (R) both learned to play Saxaphone. R plays the guitar, too - he's the musical one in the family.
The big question is, will we recognize Ms. Fabulous without non-natural streaks in her hair? ;)
The bigger question is where she'll put the piano, especially if it's even the size of a baby grand? Maybe it's a spinet, or an upright grand? Curious minds want to know.
i was wondering the same thing ariandalen, i expect there will be much lol in the story of how the piano found it's home, what the bengals think, and what was moved into the kitchen. I love how all sorts of non-traditional things end up in Quiche's kitchen.
work stress...lots of meetings, also audit time, omg.
I was imagining it as an upright piano.. maybe with candleholders on it
I know that game, only too well.
Shiraz indulged in a doggy version of it one day...put a cute kitted coat on Mulder and she decided that made him a toy...oh look, I can carry Mulder by the coat. Needless to say, the coat was destroyed very quickly.
Ooooh, off to search twitter for Quiche hair updates.
knitted coat, not kitted coat *sigh*
heat is destroying brain cells
This public computer will not let me see the entire post but I quite get the idea. I always had trouble with guitar, even though I can play piano and have been reminded that piano and guitar "go hand-in-hand." I'm not so sure this is true.
Oh, and Lorraine, I remember really liking you with red hair ... but I think you would be a great brunette. I like that idea a lot.
Lol, my cat knew that game too, her version was 'make stupid human think I want my belly rubbed, lull them into false sense of security with purring, then GRAB ON AND KICK LIKE MAD'. Painful but hilarious!
New hair, yay exciting! I've forgotten all about audits and big event I've spent last few months organising..... my sister in law gave birth to a bonny baby boy this afternoon (Aden James), I'm a very happy Aunty Hellie :o)
I am fascinated with people who play instruments. It all seems like such magic to me! (I think I am getting my partner an electric keyboard for Solstice this year; he plays guitar and flute already)
Q-- how do your bengals feel about socks? Zanzibar loves them! He'll leave shod or bare feet alone, but if someone is in stocking feet, he believes they need a slipper made of bengal.
We're a mostly shoe-less house, too, so it's odd to explain to guests, 'sorry, my cat has a thing about socks'
Congrats, Aunty Hellie!
On hair, I may have told this story before, but why not tell it again. DS's ex- girlfriend had bright blue hair part of the time they were together. The first time she attended a family event, my nephew, then 5 stared at her, and then asked, "Is that hair LEGAL?"
Fortunately, she also had a sense of humor.
Oh fod, I had to share this...it just cracked me up
*Arnie's computer*
Arnold Schwarzenegger was asked if he wanted to upgrade to Windows 7.
He replied: “I still love Vista, baby.”
Hellie - great news! Nothing like a brand new bubby to bring joy.
Waiting for my new piano to come!
New hair is awesome! Not exactly purple, it's, uh, Dealy Nightshade, which is kind of magenta-ish, with long long dark, and deadly nightshade extensions, real hair this time. I love it.
Kitty can shoot it later, left her with the Boss.
Now where the heck do I put the piano????
This comment has been removed by the author.
Hi!
I'm SO far behind I'm calling "Uncle!"
The hair sounds wickedly delicious though!
Kindly don't keep us waiting on the hair.
The far-behind Ticia and I will be going to see the Magnetic Fields together in February! Yippee! I got us Row K tix. *happy dance*
Shame there are no other RI Fiends. It would be cool to just hang out sometimes.
Or at least, like ... MA or CT.
I'm also antsy about seeing the new hair!!!!
I'm glad I have you guys to talk to online, because in 1 1/2 months, I'm probably going to be leaving the rest of my life behind, and it's really starting to stress me out.
Sadly, you have to wait on the hair, I am alone and can't seem to take a picture of myself.
I will twipic the piano tho, and some intelligent person can link it for me, sound good?
Kitty will take cool pics of my hair tomorrow tho, promise.
And better ones of the piano. She is with Boss, and I am too tired to go back to work.
What a lovely thing that is! Glad you did not try to get it upstairs though. That'd do one's back in.
Thanks Jess! You are QUICK!!!!
I like it. Once it is all working nicely again, it will be really fun to learn to play.
Long day. May not make it to Top Chef. Tivo is my friend.
Zing! I'm a veritable blur, me.
You should call it the Duet Corner, and have duets.
BLUR indeed!
Duets. Yes. Me and the Bengals. We will rock.
Lorraine and the Leopards? Quiche and the Cats? Deadly Nightshade and the Spotted Wonders?
Deadly Nightshade and the Spotted Demons
Ok, Speedy Blur Jess, twit pic'd one of me. Not a GOOD one, but funny and best I could do...
Great colour! and you've taken a nice shot of yourself you know.
Fly by for a ticky box and just to check if I can do links
And of course you could invite Nora the Cat over to coach the girls. Or to be eaten by the girls. Whichever.
Speedy Gonzalez leenk de hair for yoooou. Ay yi yi yi yi yi!
That's a great colour on you!
I mean, Nora the Cat
Awww Poor Nora, she is clearly frustrated by the lack of opposable thumbs and long digits; that cat wants to play music so bad!
I've seen Nora! The Bengals get all snooty when I watch it tho...
ok, everyone, Quiche moved a little too fast for me to catch a shot of her GORGEOUS hairdo, done up in venomous DEADLY NIGHTSHADE...but tomorrow, i promise to get a good photo of this, my favorite of her looks so far.
she is a stone cold knockout---!
For a few minutes, Kitty thought she enjoyed the music of Nora, but then she changed her mind and ran away. Her music choices are fickle, but if I was playing 90's alt rock or the Repo Soundtrack, she'd be attacking me with her love. I don't think Serious is much of a music connoisseur, but Kitty loves it! Especially when I sing.
Kitty, make sure you get a photo of the two of you together as well!
Jess, thanks for posting the piano one up there, i just showed Boss and little Boss the new acquire..
and i want to see more photos of your two blacky beauties that are on your profile, there was one i recall of them both with their little heads cocked looking out the open door---
love that shot.
yay for Calvin! underfoot & in the face..>!
Night lovely ones.
Bath w/ eucalyptus, saline spray and chinese herbs...I will wake up allll better right?
Loving the kitties/demons post.
Luckily for me, my cat Miro only likes playing the kick-and-kill game with paper towel rolls. There's still some clean up - less blood; more shredded paper.
He also likes it when I change the bedsheets because it give him a chance to teach those wily blankets a lesson. They're dangerous doncha know. :)
Congrats to Hellie on her new nephew.
Looking forward to seeing the 'new hair' pics, Lorraine. New hair is always fun (with a hairdresser you trust).
'Night, fiends.
Congrats on new hair, nephew, piano et al....
And must say...if, by chance, you watched Mythbusters earlier today...or the repeat happening now...you have seen my school! Or part of it.
New Mexico Tech RULES!! We blow stuff up for Mythbusters! (plus make diamonds, but that's another story. Oh, and the school's full name is New Mexico Institute of Science and Technology.)(We are a school full of geeks. Our sidewalk graffiti in the concrete is more likely to include Lord of the Rings references and the Green Lantern logo than anything else :))
Can't wait to take Pyrotechnics and Energetic Materials class :)
**Knew i could count on the fiends for Kitty Crystal answers!
--Thanks!
Wet food seems to be the thang....
Brand ideas?
Also, Vet has said i need to put my friend on the brand they carry $17/lb food.---(slight exaggeration.)
Do ya think i can mix 'em or put sweet kitty on the $$ food for a bit 'till the crystals dissipate and then change to wet food?
My friend, Digit the 11-year-old polydactyl thanks you,
and so do i.
-Bobina.
(next time let's talk about the seizures he's having...yuck--heartbreaking.)

Hair color is really lovely, it brings out your eyes. Piano is perfectly set for duets methinks. Now you just need to accessorize it with spooky candelabras.;)
Hellie, my cat Hollie is the master of that game. She does her best to look cute but I'm not fooled. Much.
LOL Congrats on the nephew by the way.
Nora is an awfully cute and smart kitty!
Phiala I played trumpet in junior high:). I stopped in high school because you had to be in marching band and because the teacher was a loon (wanted me to play e-flat stuff on a b-flat cornet..my teeth started hurting.)
I actually dropped the trumpet thinking I'd learn piano, but found out that my reach was pretty bad (not much over an octave.) I can still pick out stuff on my little (half size) keyboard though. I did try to take up guitar (which was SO fun) but developed carpal from my job and had to give it up.
Somehow I think if we get all the fiends together we could have a Fiend Ensemble.:) Or at least a really fun party.
Congratulations Auntie Hellie,.
Yay for gorgeous hair and pianos and Kitty and kitties.
Looking forward to lts of pictures.
Morning.
Deadly Nightshade! Perfect! Looking forward to pics. And of the piano too. I have a severely neglected one in my house, haven't played in years.
We have coders here, yes? xkcd hit the nail on the head yet again.
It is November, right? It's over sixty degrees here this morning, warmer than much of July. I'm not complaining, mind, it'll help with the heating bills for sure, it's just a little disconcerting.
Any of our British Fiends been affected by the flooding? Hope everyone's keeping safe and dry.
Q, I adore your hair. When I quit my job can I dye it that color please? (No, no plans to quit my job, it's just a long-term fantasy.)
Louisa, XKCD is always good, but they left out government: nobody cares AND you don't make any money for it.
Morgan taught himself a new trick. Nick had some eggnog last night and left the tall skinny glass out on the coffeetable. Morgan can't get his head into those glasses (though he happily drinks out of my water glass). So fluffy boy sat on the table next to the glass and dipped his paw in, stretching waaaay down to the tiny puddle on the bottom. Remove paw, lick, repeat.
Very pleased with himself!
Today the great cooking adventure begins...
Taking the wife to see AFP tonight! And we'll see Beth and Nora and Jordan's Mom and Emily, who wrote the LJ post that the Boss linked to earlier this week, and who knows who else! Very excited.
I have no idea what to wear, on the other hand. A corset would probably be appropriate, buuuuuut...... ^_^
Morning all!
Lys, saw that last night!
Mistress, I'd go ahead and do your hair anyway, you are REALLY good, chances are they will not care. Don't do it yourself tho, anyone. That trick NEVER works.
That's the key. I'll write on things later today.
I hope. I think it will be a pretty intense sort of day, LOTS of works to do for guests this weekend.
REALLY glad Kitty is here to help!
Yes, and take LOTS of pics!!!!!!!
Hair looks great! Piano is sooo pretty. One of the better-looking uprights I've seen. Sometimes they can be a little blah.
Congrats to Auntie Hellie :)
bobina, I feed my crystal-and-infection-prone Sailor the Innova EVO wet food, but Wellness brand is also good. I would probably mix the $$$ food with your $ food and see how it goes before switching entirely to the prescription food.
Dan Guy, enjoy AFP! Whatever you wear will be lovely, but everyone should have a corset. Even you.
And Wendy, my kitties come and sit on my sheet music when I play. I can't tell if that means they like it, or if they're trying to tell me to stop making that awful racket.
anna banana:
When I sing, Kitty sits on my chest or near me and purrs. When I turn music on, she wants to sit on top of the computer to be closer to it. Serious Black just does what he normally does, which is usually trying to meld into my body through my side ribs.
Q, I would love to, but it oh-so-really wouldn't be a good idea. I work with farmers, and hair of an unorthodox color would not endear me to them. *pout*
I do not own a corset. Which is a shame, as I would look absolutely fabulous myself, but I currently have nowhere to wear one. One thing I hate about this town: there is NOWHERE to go of an evening that isn't full of drunken undergrads. Bah!
Shall possess soul in atience for new Kitty pics of hair.
Louisa - don't know about other british fiends but I am un-flooded, although we had massess of rain. It's a great relief as, having had flooding 3 years running I am still paranoid when it rains (my probs stemmed from a poorly drained culvert, since fixed)
Q, I am now imagining the weekend guest as a series of demonic entities. . good job you have Kitty to help out ;-)
Kitty is still SLEEPING, and I am going for a ride now before I go in, but we will get some pics!
enjoy your ride. And give Illicit Affair some scritches :-)
MOrning, Q! Have a good ride.
The Tavern never has drunken undergrads in it, Phiala. I don't know how they feel about corsets, though. Last time I was there, everyone looked like a professor; it was all chunky wooden bangles and suede elbow patches.
There's a pile of not-very-good pictures of the girls just here, Kitty.
This comment has been removed by the author.
Argh, phantom double-post! And a third post to point it out means I'm a dork. :P
True, Jess, though that wasn't quite the kind of place I was thinking of.
Okay, you may be a dork (and I'm not necessarily agreeing here), but we love you anyway.
Aww. Group hug!
I have that same strings-vs-pianos issue. (I play viola, old Montgomery Ward guitars and blangy spruce-top ukues.)
I've been looking for piano books that will let me learn the same way I learned guitar (i.e. by caterwauling and letting my fingers plonk around underneath).
If you have absolutely no pride (as I haven't) then the Mel Bay "You Can Teach Yourself {X} Piano" books might be a decent three-little-cowboy-chords/learn-by-ear possiblity. And their gawful graphic design is a no-pride badge of honor.
I'm planning to go for the gospel one in hopes that I'll end up sounding like the gristly nicotine-haired church-lady I knew as a kid.
Jess, I love this shot of your girls http://tinyurl.com/yc8yhs9
Thanks, Anna. It's hard to get decent pictures of them! They don't like to pose.
Kitty is offended I've been paying so much attention to Serious Black lately. She said I MUST post a picture of her at last night's Sons of Anarchy/ writing party.
http://twitpic.com/q2b6z
And, Phiala, I don't know what I would do without unnatural hair and corsets. Even if I worked with farmers, I would probably have to have bright red hair. Although, I know how you feel. My favorite hair color was bright pink, and I gave it up to be at least halfway respectable. Plus some men get kind of skeevy when they see a girl with bright pink hair.
<--- The same color in my Google account photo.
Gorgeous hair Lorraine, so shiny! I'm a big henna fan at the moment, although it does feel like putting cow pat on your head (i imagine!) and then you have to spend several hours with your head wrapped in cling film - a bit embarrasing when the postman rings the doorbell! It's worth it though, shiny & glowy & red!
Off to see new arrival tomorrow, thanks for all the congrats!
Love the music room too, can imagine a Tori-esq situation of playing the organ & piano simultaneously!!
Ugh, I'm sitting here accomplishing nothing on the computer but still here because my head is full of ectoplasm still and I cant' think enough to do anything else.
i've always been terrified of henna. i don't know why. i've been dying my hair red for some time now thought. isn't there some no no about putting henna over dyed hair?
for Chantrelle who ya gonna call to help with your ectoplasm issue?
Yep, that's been stuck in my head since sunday. Ben watched that for the first time and loved it...I did too of course! And then I got a head full of ectoplasm...coincidence??
Beautiful piano, Ms. Fabulous. Definitely looks like an upright grand. We had one when I was growing up, though it wasn't as pretty as yours. My parents bought it in late 1970 for $50.
I took a piano lessons when I was in first grade. I didn't get to watch "Dark Shadows" because I had to practice. In third grade, after we moved to Waco, I took guitar lessons. Fourth grade, I became a member of the school choir, and stayed a member until the middle of my freshman year in high school. Took another few months of piano lessons in 8th grade, where I had a teacher who kept pushing for two lessons/week while praising my playing the week I only practiced once and having a really cold room to play in (my fingernails were blue). He was also the reason I quit choir, in tears, my freshman year. He also couldn't tell the difference the time the tenor and I switched parts; I sang tenor and he sang first soprano. Sophomore and junior years I played trumpet/cornet in band (we didn't have a marching band). Went back to choir senior year, switching from first soprano to alto. Didn't make A Capella Choir in college, thereby missing out on free voice lessons. Skip to after college about eight years, and I buy a four octave lap harp, no sharping levers. Don't take lessons for another ten years, where I learn that the spaces between the strings are just barely large enough for my fingers. Having played piano, I thought it would be similar; it's not due to different hand positions, and age probably has something to do with it, too.
I also learned to play recorder in a day in a group class. Did pretty well, though we didn't get as far as we might have. I also have a small bodhran, which I haven't learned to play, yet. I still have a trumpet and a cornet, a good quality plastic recorder, the bodhran, my harp, and a baby grand piano.
Hi, Fritz Bogott! Thou art now a Fiend! Grab your nearest white jacket and personalize it any way you please. We each have one. ;)
And thanks for reminding me that my school had us learn how to play the ukulele when I was in fifth grade. :)
I tried henna once. My sister, who is a hairstylist, gagged the whole time she was applying it because she thought it was gross.
It wasn't extreme enough for me. :(
guy just twittered h has 2 extra tickets to the AFP Falls CHurch show, wasn't there someone here who needed one?
Ha ha henna does have a unique smell! And it is quite subtle - I leave it on for hours and hours to make it as red as I can, I just love how it makes my hair so shiny and soft.
I do interchange between chemical dye & henna, never had a problem but I always leave it at least 6 weeks in between. I think it can be pretty disastrous if you henna your hair then try to bleach it!!
Only a ticky box right now. Great Great stuff here!
Hi ariandalen, I found my way here because gaypet and I have kindergartners in the same class (Hi Gayle.) I've been wearing a jacket as you describe for at least twenty years (as you may have deduced from my habit of typing only with my nose,) but perhaps I can have mutantangel embroider the Fiend insignia on it somewhere. -Fritz
We need a Fiend insignia!
Or do we have one that I missed?
Vampi, I remember being told in beauty school to watch out for compound henna because it has metallic salts in it that can seriously FRY your hair if you try to use regular hair dye or bleach. It's not always marked, so always do a strand test. Regular henna, the kind that's skin grade for mehndi, is actually good for your hair, but is only semi-permanent.
I need tickets to the NC show - but Calvin has taken such a downturn that I'm not sure I want to leave him for that long (show is an hour away and parking is tight). So it may work out for the best for us not to go.
And poor Calvin, he'd had such a great couple of days.....
Ben and his friend Simone are starting a band. Ben on drums, Simone on guitar. They will cover Devo, the Kinks, TMBG. They will be called "Ghost". I love these kids. The 40 minute carpool ride is great w/ them.
New Post is UP! Hair! Movies! Pictures!
Hi Fritz!! Good to see you. :)
Fritz is good people. Spicy brains and all.
I just have a sec but I wanted to let the animal lovers here know that a dog race track is closing and MANY Greyhounds will need homes. Please consider. They are great pets!
Look here for more info.
Congrats, Hellie, to your family on the new addition of your nephew!
Yay for pianos and deadly hair!
Yay for kitty crystal solutions!
Yay for blowing things up!
Phiala, best wishes for the feast.
{{{Wendy}}} fiends will get you through. Go forth!
And then I get to end of comments and oh no Jane! Poor Calvin, and poor you and family. {{hugs}}
