Yet MORE, Way More From Venus, Magic and Mim...

This, I do know, is complete indulgence on my part. But one must, every so often. I bring you: WAY too many Bengal Pictures!

Four rolls of purple Duck Tape later, Poop Wheel has a new backing! Tomorrow, a slow down device, hopefully, so Bengals can run again.

Mim in the Forest..

And Tas gets between Venus and Magic.

Mim comtemplates getting OUT in front of a Flash Girls CD Cover (By Michael Zulli)

And this is what a Leopard on your dinning room table might look like. No, I don't often have people to dine, tends to weed out the faint of heart.

Venus washes her foot. (hey, I told you this was indulging myself)

And Magic makes his eyes different colours.

Bengals Yoga. One must keep FIT.

And a now completely blue eyed Magic, reposes at the other end of the table.

Thank you, everyone, for allowing me this moment.

Sunday evenings were made for Leopards.

Love and Venus, Magic and Mim,
Lorraine

I spent half of the afternoon trying to get a pic of my mother-in-laws Bengal to share with you, but I failed. He would love me and rub on me and let me pet him, but the second I had my phone handy for pics...he ran away. *sigh* But at least i got to look at your pretty pics!

Ticky...damn it

Love the bengals moments. Keep sharing.

I love the yoga picture. And if I had such gorgeous creatures, I would take many more pictures and post them much more often.

At 20:51 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

I take LOTS of pictures. Most are of Cat Butts, or part cats, or cats looking away, and blank rooms, Bengals having fled..

At 20:51 Blogger Ms T said...

Can there ever be too many photos of Bengals?

Just remembered a discussion I was having with the vet last week (Miro was just in for his annual WOF; nothing to worry about). We decided that Abys were like Bengals with training wheels!

At 20:51 Blogger Rach said...

I can't get enough of them - indulge away!

At 20:52 Blogger Ms T said...

Oh...and looking forward to Regina Spektor tonight.

I have a lot of pics my cats as well. Hers is just SO orange...I really want a good pic of him.

At 21:23 Blogger Jane said...

tick and OMG Magic is gorgeous. We always joke that the Abys are like little cougars in our house but Magic is the real thing,

At 21:30 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Magic is loving being out for Family Time. He got into the basement tho, which is Kitty Hiding Heaven. He did come out tho, which is good.

We'll see if we can't do some Roylas Pictures soon. They are harder, like they want to be private.

Except for the morning Head Butt Session with Lear. Kind of like being woke that way.

Magic is back in his room. Venus and Mim are all over me like " WHY WHY WHY are you letting HIM out?????"

At 21:36 Blogger Dragonsally said...

I so ♥ your Bengals.

Look, Mr Tas, all the way from moi makes a guest appearance, holding his own with the savage beasties. FTW.

I love washing cats clean between their little tootsies, so adorable.

At 21:37 Blogger Kitty Cat said...

oh i am so happy to see Magic out and about with his cute face. Gollom!
do the girls go into his part of the house too?
xoxoMISS YOU!

I think posting too many bengals pics is indulging us more than you.

There was thunder and lightning outside. Serious Black is hiding under the chair. He wouldn't even come out for TUNA!

I don't know what to do about guy who I don't know if he likes me. There is another guy. I am trying to get his information. Why not make my life complicated? Isn't that what summer breaks are for?

At 21:44 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Damn you Wendy...now I have "Summer Loving" running on repeat in my head.

At 22:19 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

They do, Kitty. They chase him in there. And they both love HIS porch, even tho theirs is better.

Wendy, remember 21 for a guy isn't real old. Have fun if you like, but he's a decade away from anything serious.Or if you really want him, act like you don't. Ignore, be too busy, make him think you like him ok, but have a lot going on..Trust me.

The less you are available, the more he will want you, and he might grow up in the process.

Ah, my wisdom...

Nah. :)
Especially when Mim and Venus show just how agile they are. Gotta love Mim looking at life from a different point of view. :)

Hi, Ali and Rach! Welcome to Fiendom! Pick up your own white, buckled jacket over there, then you can use the supplies on the table to personalize it. :)

Ha - what Wendy said, about indulging us all.

I love cats. Want to have cats again. But wish to wait until we have a forever home of our own, i.e. a have landed wherever we plan to stay for some years to come. This can't be it, and I'm not sure what trouble we'd have moving back to the States with kittehs.

Anyway, meanwhile, much fun to see pictures of cats.

Ms. T - I'm a bit green, would so much like to see Ms Spektor play live!

Jess, yer too cute. I can picture you standing to the side of the room, smiling sweetly, with a head full of comment!

Long weekend it was, complete with odd weather, but blooming tulips everywhere. Gulls are back, and I hear a lot of chickadee "pee-wee". Co-parent back from a week in Austin. *turning green some more* but *sighing with relief* Long week ahead. G'night, g'morning all! *shambles off*

At 00:12 Anonymous Wendy Withers said...

Sometimes I feel like I'm 14 and have no clue as to what's going on. I guess that's what I get for being more interested in books than relationships for most of my life.

And cats. Cats are better than relationships. Although, all of this invented drama is fun for a change.

I do have a hard time playing aloof, though. Maybe I should watch movies with glamorous starlets like Liz Taylor and take some notes.

Every time I see pictures of Magic it catches me by surprise again how eaytiful he is! (The girls are lovely too, but not quite so dramatic)
and even if they don't approve of his being out of his room, it looks as though he is allowed to enjoy it and relax a little.

Sunday bengals, very nice, even if I didn't get to admire them until Monday.

I did absolutely nothing yesterday and now feel much better, but I think I shall stay home from work anyway. I'm not well, and maybe I can get a few of the things I was supposed to do this weekend accomplished.

I tried to get picts of the new bees but they won't stay still... beesides we haven't named them all yet so it's hard to tell them apart.

Our rescued shop cat is an elegant black persian who is WAY to grand to be living out back in the pottery. She's also WAY too furry for an Indiana summer. She is currently getting her yearly haircut- she gets smaller by half- so she's not very photogenic. It goes slowly, since she only lets Jay do a little at a time, but he's making her into a LION this year. She will be Queen of the (Hoosier National) Forest!

At 08:07 Blogger Cecily said...

Leopard on the loose! Again! \o/ I think it's cool that they're getting along as well as they are. That's some big time progress. :)

Na, more sort of a head full of "argh". I didn't really know anyone who turned up-- it was all people from the board. All very friendly, but then they parted-- like the Red Sea-- into two groups, neither of which I could join because they'd turned their backs and begun to talk about their families, and their dying relatives, and their golf swings. I had to spend ten minutes staring at the bulletin board, pretending to be interested in lost cats, tutoring opportunities, and upcoming retirement income workshops. It was awful. This is why I don't go to parties often.

At 11:54 Blogger Jess said...

No poop on the Poop Wheel YET, it is slower now, and has a backing that she can't see thru and panic, which I think helps.

Love the pictures. I'm very behind in comments. We're still in chicago. We were supposed to fly to NC today but ben was puking for 24 hours. Finally stopped this morning. Now he's got a 100degree fever. Not scary-high but he's miserable. We changed our flight to tomorrow. Got a good customer rep at United on the 2nd call (yes, i used lorraine's tips!) and he couldn't get me on a cheaper flight but did give me a voucher for future flights.. Didn't have to do that, good guy.

Hopefully we get on our flight tomorrow.

My poor monkey.

as someone who has actually been attacked by cats before that video is just a bit ptsd-ish for me.

At 20:28 Blogger AletaMay said...

Meant to add something like this: ;-) after the ptsd comment.

I love your bengals, Q. Like Marjorie, my favorite is Magic. He looks so much happier than he did when you and Kitty brought him home! But even when he was at his most scared, you could see how special he was.

Wendy- Date/enjoy yourself with both boys. You don't know either one of them well enough to choose now anyway. Plus, as Q says, keeping them on their toes is a good thing for young boys. :)

Robyn- Poor Ben. I hope he feels better soon. Being that sick is no fun. For mommy either. ((hugs))

At 22:51 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Don't you call cubby houses cubby houses in the States?
There you go, I learn something from Fiends every single day. I had to google and discover that you call them playhouses. How I love language!

At 23:02 Blogger Ms T said...

Hmm...and I've called them called Wendy houses, although I think the term playhouse might have been more common when I was a kid. (The neighbours had one. I made do with DIY forts. :) )

At 23:15 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Ms T. How are you sweetie? Over the nasty buggy thing?

I kind of thought you might call them cubbies in NZ too.

At 01:51 Blogger Ms T said...

Kia ora Sally - I'm feeling much better now thank you. :) I even managed to restrict any coughing to the applause between songs last night.

Yeah, I had heard of cubbies, but not until later. It could be a regional thing - we can't even agree on terminology between the two main islands sometimes, e.g. holiday homes (not the flash mansion-y variety - the more basic kind) are called baches in the North Island and cribs in the South Island. And this was pre-MTV!

And on that note, it's time for me to make a dash for my bus!

At 07:14 Blogger dabbler said...

Morning, all. I needed that Ziggy update as well. Was there a fierce competition over where he would go?

I am tiptoeing around Twitter, since I discovered you can keep track online rather than onphone, but I'm still only following my family (stalker Mom!)

Today Mark will peek at bees to see if they have accepted their queen, or if there is a palace conspiracy, perhaps the bees are republicans?

At 07:15 Blogger dabbler said...

Oh, forgot to say, please indulge us more with Magic pics, Q. So gorgeous, and so wonderful that he is able to visit the larger household...

At 08:14 Blogger Jane said...

And Ziggy has a new name - Ruti. It seems that Ziggy AND Zigzag were too many cat Zs for one household. Seems reasonable.

Good for you Q, getting Mim to happy

At 08:21 Blogger Phiala said...

I had a very strange dream this morning... I was visiting Q for a major holiday and she loaned me the soundtrack for a French horror movie. I had to go buy Christmas presents (so it must have been Christmas, even though it was green outside), and then we were all going over to Boss's house to play with the puppies, except he wasn't there because he had to go pick up his girlfriend from the airport.

Dream logic is so strange...

At 09:27 Blogger Jess said...

Phiala - I believe it.

It's sunny! I have chai! There was even a double rainbow this morning, Mr. Jess tells me, but I missed it! Spriinnggg! Tralalalalala! \o/

Good that the poowheel works properly. Still planning on getting the new one, so more cats can run? (Rhymes!)

At 10:28 Blogger Na said...

We on the other hand have snow. Wet snow, but snow. And wind. A friend is blaming me for the snow, because I, fool that I am, cleaned all the sleds and snow shovels on Sunday, and had actually put the monsters' snow pants away.

So, happy Star Wars Day from Hoth!

At 10:31 Blogger Na said...

Mmm. On the plus side, I just discovered there was one Double Chocolate donut left from the weekend Tim Horton's run. Really shouldn't let that go to waste...

I remember Tim Hortons! People are SERIOUS about their coffee there! DOn't they even have special Tim Horton Coffee Machines you can buy?

Nice dream Mistress. People are dreaming of me everywhere...

Our Bees are meant to come tomorrow! Four more hives!!!

At 10:51 Blogger Phiala said...

I woke up before I got to listen to the French horror film soundtrack - any recommendations? :)

At 11:38 Blogger Na said...

Yes indeed, there are coffee machines, but Tim Horton's Morning Coffee Trek is also a daily ritual for many. I feel I am missing out on an important local custom, though, not being a coffee drinker...

At 11:47 Blogger Na said...

Oh, and that snow? Nearly blizzarding now. *mutter grumble*

Although it means fewer spiders for a few days. Similarly, fewer neighbor kids hanging around.

Hopefully no snow coming to where everyone has gotten / is getting bees! I'd worry about them in their Packages, though imagine their hives are good hide-outs.

At 15:40 Anonymous Wendy Withers said...

Phiala: I recommend the Ink soundtrack. It's not a French nor horror movie soundtrack, but it's pretty awesome.

At 20:34 Blogger One Sock Short said...

Siri, neither am I. It says so in my profile. But people follow me anyway. Go figure.

Just got home from dinner out with Mum. Feels like a long evening to me. I'm afraid getting separate apartments has not made me more patient when we're together. I feel like such a bad daughter.

Not much going on here. I'm about ready to send out invitations to a house concert by Marian Call for Memorial Day weekend (Friday night). If you're a fiend I know is in the area, you're probably already on my list and will hear from me soon. Add this to the list of things I'd never imagine myself doing pre-Fiendom.

Otherwise, it's same old, same old. Feeling stressed out and inadequate at work. Mostly vegetating at home. At least this concert will get me to clean house.

At 21:23 Blogger vampi said...

Not a lot going on here either, just finishing up my (late) lunch break and trying to decide if I'll knit and watch telly, or read for a bit then knit* and watch telly tonight. Ooh, what a mad, heady, (anti)social whirl!

*I'm making contributions for the It's a Tree! outdoor knit project, and I think all the leaves and flowers need to be in next week. Eep!

Siri, Linda tweets more than I do. I do play games on Twitter, though. And 1 Book 1 Twitter starts in a few minutes. It's a global book club with "American Gods" as the first book.

Besides, I may be joining Facebook. :/

Your garbage house/cubbie looks nice and neat, Ms. Fabulous. Much better than our rusted cart that we bought at a garage sale 11 years ago. On the other hand, we don't live in town and our garbage cans can only be seen when we wheel them to the street. I almost said curb, but we don't have one.

At 06:22 Blogger dabbler said...

Siri... Um. I read tweets...I don't send tweets. I am not even aboe to be interestng here, very often, and that's as much of a strain as I can take.

Bees made wild comb all around the queen's box...some even had drips of nectar-not-yet-fanned-into-honey. WOOT!

At 07:18 Blogger Jess said...

Siri hasn't forgotten what Jon Stewart said about Twitter, and for that she is wise. Nobody is that interesting on Twitter. Though I have to admit I've warmed to the idea of a place where no one has an obligation to be interesting.

Speaking of which, did you hear that the Library of Congress has acquired the entire Twitter archive, and that they're going to preserve it in perpetuity? Imagine how fascinating that's going to be to historians a thousand years from now. (Or two hundred, if you don't fancy humanity's chances.)

At 09:07 Blogger Dragonsally said...

That raises interesting questions Jess - do they even have the tweets of people with protected statuses? I don't think I like the idea. *ponders*

At 09:11 Blogger vampi said...

supposedly, it's only public tweets

At 09:14 Blogger Cecily said...

I have been watching "Do You Know Who You Are?", which if you haven't seen, each episode follows a celebrity as they trace back their genealogy. I thought it was going to be kinda blah, but I liked some of the actors so I decided to give it a try. It has been a LOT more interesting than I expected. In the show, they are using census records and preserved letters and all sorts of things to find out information about people. While it might seem silly now, I think having all of those types of records could actually be quite informative!

OT: Sometimes I think I am one of ten people in the entire world that does not like Family Guy.

At 09:15 Blogger Jess said...

Possible, Sally. But you have to remember that they're archiving many, many hundreds of thousands of tweets, including spam. The likelihood that anyone might go to the Library of Congress one day and search specifically for your tweets, or mine, or any other punter's, is very small, and certainly no greater than the likelihood they'd request the information from Twitter directly. Boss has more to fear from the historians than we do. :) And frankly I think my 140-word mundanities are safer in the hands of librarians than Twitter's corporate suits.

At 09:21 Blogger Arwenn said...

I think it will be neat that researchers could use it to trace the spread of information (and misinformation) regarding current events. There have been several things I read about on twitter before they were picked up by the major media.

At 10:28 Blogger Na said...

I don't understand why anyone would want to archive Twitter: that seems like a waste of disc space and person hours.

Siri, I think of Twitter primarily as a Fiend chat room, myself. :) You can block your account, or not and still block individuals.

Meanwhile, anyone 'round here thinks they are uninteresting, I respectfully, wholeheartedly beg to differ. Tosh!

At 10:30 Blogger Ticia said...

Good Morning, Fiends!

Dan posted this on facebook for me and I love it so much I want to share it with all of you. We all face fear every day, in many ways. Mine is a fear of success. I hope this helps any of you standing up to your fears too.

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
--Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear, Dune"

At 10:43 Blogger Jess said...

My fear is a fear of An Exam this afternoon, but, whoa there, TMI.

I shall say no more other than I have been growing increasingly nauseous over it, and I wish they'd had a morning appointment available, because if they had it'd be over with by now. Anyway.

The LoC Twitter thing is exciting because they're able to archive humanity in a way they never have done before. Future archaeologists will be able to sift through tweets the way they currently sift though old Roman garbage dumps. They will learn how we lived day-to-day, and what we thought about, and-- perversely-- they will find it interesting.

For the first time ever I was called old by another adult last night! I'm still alternating between chuckling and slighty horrified...I mean I'm only 20nyears older than the person (in his late 20's) who said it!. The person in question is a friend of a friend who came over for a visit. He was really excited because he'd met an oldie who was computer/techno savvy...and kept saying he wished his mum was as good at the computer as me. WTF?

I know 48 isn't exactly young, but I don't consider myself "old" either! Its a bit of a shock to the system.

Family Guy = not for me, either. So I guess we comprise 30% of the world population of non-Family Guy-ers.

"Why are you still in here? What happened to the 'legit shower' thing?" R: "That was SO three minutes ago."

How in the world did I completely miss two posts?!

I love the bats on the background of the wheel! And of course, Magic's gorgeous glowing eyes.:)

I'm so frazzled right now.

OOhh! Mike Resnick left a comment on my blog. *grin* Now I wish I'd said something more insightful...

I awoke this morning to a torrential downpour. Very pleasant to sprawl in bed with the dog and the cat and the boy and listen to the rain. I only worried a little about the gutter I haven't fixed yet (Hi Jess!), and it was sunny by the time I walked to work.

I stopped at the roastery on the way: today is a good coffee day. Quality declines progressively until I'm out. I don't buy much coffee at a time.

Just waving from the mad house.
(no internet at home - my reading is going very well - and no time to play at work)

I seem to be a little bit behind too, the last couple of weeks have gone by in a whirl of fun in Ireland, then having a poorly b/f, taking b/f to a&e, coming down with aforesaid poorliness myself (& thus realising a&e was slight overreaction on dr's part!), piles of work...oh and voting - that brings me up to today!! Hope all is good in fiendly universe :o)

Count me in as a non Family Guy fan too. My brother loves it, but I don't find it that funny. Watching him crease up in hysterics IS funny though :o)

At 20:24 Blogger Phiala said...

Hardly any comments all day... is everyone busy?

At 20:45 Blogger Dragonsally said...

They must be!
I've never really watched Family Guy. Avid Simpsons and Futurama fan though.

Back to reading...

At 20:51 Blogger Jess said...

Evidently so! Though at this particular moment, I'm pissed enough to believe, sort of, that I know how to do a cartwheel. But not so pissed as to actually attempt one.

Spanish wines will do that to you.

At 21:53 Blogger dabbler said...

Add me to the no Family Guy List...Among other faults, I find it incredibly ugly.

G'night, all!

At 22:39 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Just adoring listening to the radio right now - Ian McKellan talking about the British election.

At 00:09 Blogger Na said...

Didja try a cartwheel, Jess? How did that go?

Relieved I am, to know I am not alone in not enjoying F.G. Sometimes crass things amuse me. But not that one.

Now, going to see what's up with that election, haven't tuned in to news at all today...

At 00:16 Blogger Na said...

Huh - now I need to google "hung parliament". I'm guessing that means no party has majority?

I was trying t'other day to find out what Jon Stewart said about twitter (can't follow the link, durn int'l border), but did find his take on Mr Brown's gaffe. And what a gaffe that was!

At 00:45 Blogger Marjorie said...

Yup. Hung parliament = noone with an overall majority & everyone has to start trying to form a minority gvmnt or coalition.

At 05:42 Blogger Marjorie said...

Feeling depressed this morning, as it looks as though we are going to get a Conservative PM (and minority gvment)

Cheerful chatter from anyone? Some of you *must* be doing fun things you can tell me about?

At 05:49 Blogger spacedlaw said...

I am in a meeting and it isn't really funny, alas. Although it is being constructive, if painfully slow.

At 09:04 Blogger Arwenn said...

Not sure if this counts as fun, but I discovered that leaning over to grab the umbrella you dropped - while the bus is turning a corner is a bad idea. Dizzy!

At 10:55 Blogger Na said...

Sorry Marjorie - not much fun doings here at the moment.

I have realized that I've made a real friend where I live, though, and that we can count on each other to crack each other up; this is balancing out a whole lotta yuck.

At 11:10 Blogger Jess said...

That's a fine thing, Na!

Marjorie, I don't like it, but I'll have to go along with it.

I seem to have a cold. Haven't I been sick already? Who's been breathing on me?

At 11:57 Blogger Na said...

It is fine, fine indeed! I am grateful.

LOL! That's a great bit, Jess. Bonus: the first time I tried to link to it, I got an error message saying a large group of trained monkeys are being dispatched to resolve the error.

I have also this morning edited an index, which is not terribly exciting, but does give me a sense of accomplishment for the day.

At 12:28 Blogger Marjorie said...

::snort:: good one, Jess !

And I'm glad about your friend, Na. Good friends are worth their weight in gold:-)

ery so often i find family guy mildly amusing, do not like any of the family guy spin offs. in general i find hte humor, like south park, too mean spiritied and they take a joke and make it play too long.

as for funny shows, i am totally smitten with Community. it's a well written comedy that is also ridiculous. full disclosure, i am a joel mchale fangirl.

At 12:56 Blogger vampi said...

i keep hearing about that four letter s word, but i seem to be a little confused by it as it's SPRING. wtf.

At 15:06 Blogger Na said...

My current experience, vampi, tells me that:
winter = new dry snow,
early spring = old snow + ice,
and
late spring = wet snow + cold rain + mud.

Thanks, Marjorie! I agree, completely. :D

Thanks to Toni and Dan, I am finally watching The Big Bang Theory - enjoying that much. "Tonight, I spice my meat with goblin blood!"

At 15:21 Blogger ariandalen said...

Nope. Not Spring. Summer. We have day 3 of 90+ degrees F. Granted, a front is supposed to move through tonight and tomorrow's high is supposed to be 80 degrees F.

Just thought I would share that with all of you.

One to three inches of snow tonight, and temps down in the 30's. My poor plants! I've got like 40 tomatoes out, under closhes, but in the ground...

Weather can fool you.

At 17:17 Blogger Phiala said...

Oh... poor tomatoes! I'm not putting mine in for at least another week, and probably not until I get back from New Hampshire.

No matter how tempting it is!

It was about 90 yesterday and in the 80s today. I am too sleepy to make any sort of sense, so I think I should turn in. Shoveling shit for two hours after a morning of cleaning house is hard work. It was so hard I had to go right out after washing off the manure and get a mani-pedi. Then I really wore myself out by running errands and then taking R to Target. clearly I was not making good decisions at that point. She really did need a bike, though. And five DVDs. Okay, three. Two were for me.

Bed. Yes. Almost forgot.

At 09:18 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

No SNow came! But it is cold and icky anyway. Need to get LOTS of black plastic for the garden. JUST what I wanted today.

Really need more tea first.

I should do another blog too.

Something exciting...

At 09:36 Blogger dabbler said...

Morning, Lorraine! We have spring here... at least today. We've been ping-ponging between late winter (40s at night), Summer (70s at night) and Spring. I like landing on the spring days, but the weather gods haven't asked my opinion. Today is breezy, with intermittant sun and clouds. And our driveway is completely carpeted with helicopter seeds from our giant silver maple. Its obviously had a very sexy spring.

At 09:40 Blogger LihuaEmilyP said...

I think I will find a tea-post exciting so you can of course write about tea. It will work for me. I don't know about everyone else, though.

At 10:28 Blogger dabbler said...

Loved the Bee flower link. How on earth did that process of metamorphosis of larva into adult for ever come to be. What an astonishing and awe inspiring thing life is!

At 10:55 Blogger Jess said...

We had a big giant thunderstorm last night which knocked out the power for about four hours. It was very, very dark, and I ended up using my copy of American Gods as a flashlight (as there is currently an LED reading-light stuck on it). So add that to your Emergency Survival Kit! American Gods is reflective in more ways than one. Provided you use a reading-light.

Come to think of it, if you stuck your iPod in it, it could be a radio, too. Next print run, Q, tell them: iPod pocket on the cover.

Glad the snow missed you! It's May, for pete's sake.

At 11:02 Blogger vampi said...

who's pete?

A guy I knew in college. He worked at the college radio station. He was nice.

At 16:15 Blogger Jess said...

Wow, major threadkill. Either it's the hush before a new post, or we're all contemplating the nature of Pete.

At 17:52 Blogger Fluffy said...

One of my best buds in high school was named Pete Zilch. Not kidding.

I am a hurting unit here, but with my gardening and check-writing skills, and the day of work from the Spousal Unit the yard looks amazingly good. I pulled approximately 300,000 weeds. Give or take. Aaargh. Aleve is on the dinner menu.

Then, my genius bff Mary Lou called and asked if we wanted to join them at the barbecue place for dinner. Heck, yeah! Brisket (and NO DINNER DISHES) here we come.

At 17:54 Blogger vampi said...

i was at trainday! amtrack sponsored some activities at union station where we got to walk through the different types of cars, and also got t walk on some of the privately owned cars. wow, when i become independently wealthy, i'm so getting one of these train cars they are amazing. /traingeek

At 17:58 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Pete is my beloved...mind you, I'm not sure that it snowing anywhere other than here would worry him. Unless it was where a F1 race was due to run. Then he'd be mightily peeved at missing loud cars going very fast in sort of circles.
