Chatter, Twitter and Dogs....

Few things for you tonight. I was reading in the comments tonight where people were talking about being worried they posted too much, or erasing what they wrote thinking no one wanted to hear it, or worrying about what they are saying.

Well stop it. This is my blog, and I don't much know or care what any other blog etiquette says, here is for Fiends, and if your heart is good, and what you say does not hurt anyone, I for one want to read it and hear it. Here is a place where you can come on and say you had a hard day. Or a great one. Or share something cool. Or just say Hi, I'm here. It's a place where people DO care, and where new people are welcome, where people love and support eachother. Kid you not.

'Cause that's what Fiends are for. So there.

I was talking with WoodsmanHans today and he was sad as he had realized he had no Followers on Twitter. I asked him if he posted Tweets and he admitted he did not, and I suggested if he started, he might gain a Following.

The Man is now a Tweeting fool. If you want to follow the Twitter Adventures of WoodsmanHans, go look him up. He makes me laugh. And he will tell you about sites like this one.

(Sigh. I am up to 70 followers. When it hits 100, I will Tweet too.)

And now for the promised Cabel Report...

Cabel went to the vet today, and while there was a lot of good news, I did jump the gun Sunday on this play date with best bud Freckles, even tho they were in the dog run (jail as they think of it)

Good news is, he is healing really well, and has gained weight. The Dog EATS now, he has never really ate much since we got him, and it seems the leg injury may have occurred some years ago, and only worsened with time, and he may have been in pain, and not wanting to eat.

THAT has changed! He is eating 3 pounds of beef or chicken a day, plus all the high quality kibble we give him and is wanting more. He is up to 82 pounds, from 70-75 tops, (very thin for him, he LOOKED too thin) and could gain another five and still be good.

Bad news, no off leash or play dates for 2 more weeks. We need to walk him 4-5 times a day, at a mile at a time for a week, then on week two, 2 miles at a time 4-5 times a day. THEN he will be good to go.

Good news: Family will be getting fit to.

He does his laughing face all the time now too.

And I think he knows Boss is coming home tomorrow.

Love and Laughing,
Lorraine

Now on a more serious note. Yay for Cabal eating more. He did look really thin.

I think I'm convinced to sign up for twitter. WoodsmanHans sounds like he has some interesting things to relate and I'm amazed you're not up to 100 already!

Sorry Siri ;)

Go for it Jaqui!

Aww for Cabal. So happy to read that he's found his long lost appetite. Just think what sorts of drags- I mean, walks he'll be taking you on next if he's healed and eating better.

At 22:25 Blogger ariandalen said...

So. Did either of you actually read the post before commenting?

I did.

Yay! Cabal is on the road to wellness! And EATING properly! He will really be one happy puppy when Boss gets home. :)

At 22:26 Blogger Siri said...

Even the dog loses weight when he's in pain. That has never been my problem - I never don't want to eat.

Grrr.

Off to bed, as it is late in this part of Fiendom. Do y'all realize it's about 17 weeks till we get to meet in Minn? I feel giddy.

Night Fiendom.

I am hoping for dreams tonight. Been sleeping to the Oysterband so when ever I wake up, there they are. MAes me dream nicely.

Tho the idea of Adriandalen being fiendish in my dreams is not a BAD one...

At 22:39 Blogger El said...

I've been having enough dreams to split among ALL of the fiends, lately. A surplus. Just last night I dreamed I was hanging out with an art theif.

I'll send some around, yeah?

My work here is done.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Umm. A big fail on 2 things.
(hangs head in shame, kicks imaginary pebble)

Sorry Ariandalen, I didn't read first and I was laughing so much at the previous comments, I forgot to pick up my daughters from school.

They're home now - I was only about 5 mins late, but DD1 is NOT happy. Which usually makes the rest of us NOT happy.

At 22:43 Blogger Na said...

I only recently started remembering my dreams - getting more sleep after a long period of not-near-enough. And curiously, I dream of fiends sometimes, even though I've only met four in person as yet. No Twitter dreams yet, like poor Dr. Wicked.

Off to watch Underworld. Hadn't seen it in ages, and found it new for very cheap. Wheee!

At 22:45 Blogger Bulfinch's Aglaia said...

Oh, I'm so glad about His Dogness getting better! I do wonder if yes, he had been in pain for a long while. Really happy he's getting bigger too -- more fun for you, Q, right? :-)

I must, must, MUST finish this homework. And I have to be up in about 6.5 hours, ready for a full day of students. I can do this! Right??

(And thank you for the encouragement about posting, M. Fablo. I shall attempt to quit worrying about it and stop with the delete key already!)

Cabal looks SO good! He was looking thin and that appetite thing was worrisome. Hurray for laughing face!

I have been having odd and vivid dreams lately. (an occasional pain killer may be contributing to that) I should start writing them down. I have done this before and am always amazed at how much more I remember once I start writing.

Twitter is very addictive. Scary.

All right. Time to turn of the friendly computer and move on to read and sleep time. Tomorrow will be a busy-ish day.

At 22:55 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Grace, I am glad!

I was thinking today about some Underworld, one and two. I really want 3 to come out on DVD so I can re-watch it and think some more. I love the story, the beauty and the fact it was shot in Budapest.

I really want to go to Budapest.

As you all probably know I am a huge fan of Twitter, I just hit 600 followers and 1000+ tweets. In an effort to get more Fiends on twitter, I would like to propose...

All Fiends With Twitter Accounts Please Make Yourselves Known

Either post your twitter ID at the end of a comment here or better yet, shoot me a reply @DrWicked (that link will automatically start a tweet for you) and say that you're a Fiend.

I will then compile a list of Fiends on Twitter and put it up on the Fiends page so any twitter newbies will have Fiends to follow.

I lied. Not on purpose. It just seems I've been throwing up random ticky box comments that land in the middle of awesome discussions. Disrupts the flow. So I wanted to make sure.

I'll read again tomorrow because my head is a colander right now.

Oh, I'm ticia42 on twitter.

Yay, Cabal's finally really eating. His laughing face is adorable. He's gonna be fit to explode in two weeks when he can finally be off a leash.

Hope McKenna is feeling better. The idea of staples in one's head gives me the shivers.

Any time someone does something that connects them with the divine inside themselves, they're beautiful.
Val that's a wonderful and true insight.

Dreams. I've been having really odd ones lately. I should really try writing them down more often.

OK, I've read the post now amd all caught up with the comments from last night too. Grace, I second (or 3rd, or 6th) what others have said. You're not the only one who wonders wheher she's posting too much or saying things which others won't be interested in - and I love your comments! Also, for me, one of the things I love about coming here is that we all wander all over the place, and one never knowsat the start of a post where the end of the comments will end up.

I stopped to think about it after reading today's post, and last night's comments, and I realised that it's actually a real compliment to you, Q, and to all of the fiends that so many of us are able to talk so freely about what we are thinking or feeling or doing, and to know that there will be someone else out there who will understand and respond. (and laugh at the same things instead of giving you a funny look....)

Morning all, caught up with comments *except* yesterday which, from current post and comments, will need more focused time for reading.

I am now officially a Twit. Well sort of, it's a compromise - I know some of you get Shelf Awareness (daily e-newsletter on the book world) and after their piece on Twitter, I decided to bite proverbial bullet and sign up FOR THE SHOP, not for me at all, no sir! So I'm now up as ravenbooks and will gradually find you all and might even Tweet a bookish thing or two.

Love seeing the puppies looking happy. Even if the play-date was a little premature, I'm sure it did Cabal's spirit the world of good and that counts for lots of healing.

At 04:33 Blogger Marjorie said...

Yey for happy dog! Is it brutally cold there today? Its so frigid that Tank did NOT want to do his business, but had to and worriedly paced in the breezeway before bolting outside and doing his thing as fast as he could. Today is Packzi Day here, packzi for bkfast, snack, lunch followed by pancakes for dinner. Happy Fat Tuesday all! It is a true celebration here, which never fails to amaze me as it was never a big deal in chicago. Anyone giving up something for Lent? I'm too tired right now to figure that out - why did I schedule a dr. appt for before work? it seemed a good idea at the time.. Oh, and I am ivenotime on twitter.

At 05:38 Blogger louisa said...

Anyone else unable to access gmail? Getting a server error message.

If memory serves, Christopher Moore was mentioned here recently - he's the guest on the Barnes & Noble bookclub this week.

I have tweeted!! I'm here

One of my friends suggested TAKING UP reading for Lent - 40 pages for 40 days. I like both the positive approach and the excuse it will give me to put aside time for Good Stories.

At 05:50 Blogger Phiala said...

Oh! I want packzi for breakfast too! Noplace to get good ones here, alas.

Louisa, no gmail for me either. Must be a widespread problem. Makes getting reading in the morning much faster, though. ravenbooks doesn't show up in the twitter search, but I found you anyway. (I'm phiala on twitter).

I would like to spend the morning sprawled on the couch with the cat, coffee, packzi, but must run off. Today is a coffee-shop morning, at least. Certain kinds of editing/revision proceed better away from my desk. (According to my boss, this is forbidden, but I choose to ignore him.)

At 06:03 Blogger Marjorie said...

I had to go away and look up packzi - I'm now unclear as to how they are different to ordinary doughnuts. Of course, if my meetingthis p.m. finishes early I may had time to get into town before the Polish shop closes, in which case it might be possible to try some direct research.

I like the idea of taking something (whether reading or something else) for lent - I have quite mixed feelings about the giving things up - more becasue of the attitude some people bring to it than becasue I think giving up our little luxuries from time to time is a bad thig - so perhaps taking somethng up, as an alternative, is the way to go.

(I suspect I will find myself counting pages tonight, to see whether 40 is within my normal parameters, now that you have mentioned a figure...)

Morning, all!

Cabel sounds like an almost-happy dog who will be totally happy once his main Person is home and he can run to his doggy heart's content. Yay for eating, I'm guessing chronic pain sucks for dogs just as much as humans, other than they can't TELL us about it.

And, surprisingly, I'm DataGoddess on Twitter, too. My updates are locked, but please feel free to follow me :-)

At 08:12 Blogger Jess said...

Look at those happy dogs! They're so totally a Pack. Glad Cabal's so much better. That is good news. :) And walking will be good for all.

Packzi!! Oh, it's been Packzi season here for weeks. Welcome to Pittsburgh: we love big Polish doughnuts. :D

Marjorie, I think the difference between Packzi and regular jam doughnuts is that Packzi are a bit bigger, and the traditional filling is prunes. Or sometimes they're not filled with anything.

But in addition to those, the bakery down the street from me does peach ones, and apple ones, and cherry and raspberry and lemon and custard and blueberry. Oh my Fod. Half a dozen for six bucks! It's not really a bargain. I buy them anyway. But I will not buy any today. I. Won't.

This morning, I dreamt I saw a flying panda. It was big and round, and flew round in low, slow, lazy circles, with its front paws stretched out like Superman.

You heard me right: Superpanda. In the dream I tried to get pictures, but my camera wouldn't focus.

I kept an online dream journal for a while, but it's currently offline. If it were still online, Superpanda would have gone in. :D

Good morning! Cabal looks healthy.

A good appetite in pets is always desirable. DH and I are worrying about our cat who has quit eating. Blood tests back today, hoping for the best but feeling rather pessimistic.

As I write, the vet called - blood work all normal, so now we don't know why he isn't eating and is moping around the house. Oh dear...

Found you, Jane! :) I'm notmoro there.

(Whatever it was, Hans, I'm sorry! :( )

At 08:38 Blogger Phiala said...

There's not necessarily any difference between Mardi Gras donuts and regular ones. It's just a widespread tradition: Polish, other eastern European countries, and interestingly, Pennsylvania Dutch as well (didn't know about that one until recently).

I went to Dunkin Donuts for a jelly donut, which is as close as I can come to anything actually good.

At 08:40 Blogger Phiala said...

And you know what, I've managed to comment on comments and completely omit any mention of the actual post.

I'm thrilled that Cabalpuppy is eating! Maybe he will be not-so-skinny finally. 4-5 miles seems like a LOT for a pooch who wasn't allowed to walk much at all for many weeks. I'd maybe work into it a bit gradually, and definitely keep an eye on him for limping and soreness. Tho I'm sure the vet discussed this with you already.

But hooray for happy, healthy pooches!

Jess - what color is Superpanda's cape?

At 08:45 Blogger EmilyLady said...

Good morning, Fiends.

I love knowing that this really is a safe place. I remember feeling terrible - embarrassed, ashamed - after posting about the crisis with my neighbor falling on the ice. And I remember feeling so relieved when none of the Fiends backed away, stopped mentioning my name, or said, "Ergh, this girl is freakish."

What is your name on Twitter, Quiche? I will Follow you!

Arwenn - Superpanda didn't have a cape. He was just a panda, flying.

Ms Fabulous is fabulouslorrain, note the lack of an 'e', that's because Twitter only allows 15 characters max for usernames. Everyone follow her so we can get her up to 100 so she'll start tweeting.

Scritches to Cabal! Tell him that once he's better, I expect him to take over his fair share of the Cabal's Cabal plotting. Left to my own devices, the plots revolve largely around the acquisition of coffee and pints of Guinness. The Bengal-Bee Alliance has gained a little too much power while he was laid up.

To the self-conscious Fiends: fear is silly.

And now, for a moment of vanity: I forgot to link to a photo of my new, goth-adjacent hair. My friend Wil called it 'cuh-razy hair,' which cracked me up, seeing as how close that was to Boss' Crazy Hair.

hmmm, i don't remember any comments. they were read while a 4 yr old hand was trying to drag me away from the computer.

At 12:02 Blogger AletaMay said...

Chantrelle. You absolutely do NOT have to accept it.

I am very very much a believer in forgiveness and I am also very very much a believer in boundaries. You get to decide who is your facebook friend. If you decide to accept it because you want to be the bigger person that is totally fine, but if you just feel like you have to don't do it.

It really will not matter in the big scheme of things that you do and if it stifles the freedom you have on FB then it is not worth it For You.

Obviously that is just my opinion.

At 12:04 Blogger Jess said...

It's hard to let that stuff go, Chantrelle, and it's hard to let people in, I know. (I've got a few folks from my distant past on my Facebook list whom I still feel a little nervous about.) But people can and do change, and Now is a very different place. That siad, you're under no obligation to accept-- accepting or not doesn't really make you look any way at all. That's just the Bad Head Gremlins talking.

At 12:05 Blogger Phiala said...

Just say no to friends who aren't.

I recently turned away a FB request from someone. I told her that I was trying to cut back on Internet timewasting, and so didn't want to add new friends. Absolutely true.

Be selective with how you choose to spend your time and energy. Worrying about stuff just isn't worth it.

At 12:10 Blogger AletaMay said...

Check it out! Lovely video from Very Short List. Have I mentioned how much I love Very Short List?

At 12:12 Blogger Dread Val said...

Jess, of course dreads! How else would I be Dread Val? :)

Chantrelle, if this person from high school is genuinely trying to make things right and be your friend, she'll understand if you decline. If you don't feel right, don't add her. Remember that 'nice' and 'healthy boundaries' don't usually go together.

At 12:27 Blogger Jess said...

Val, I dread to think! ;D

I showed her one of your more recent twitpics. She said you don't look like me in that picture, but you still do in the other. ::throwing hands in air:: Five year olds.

At 13:03 Blogger Marjorie said...

Chantrelle, you absolutely do not have to accept the fired request if you don't feel comfortable doing so, especially if you feel that - it's not lame to decide that you don't want to do that (or indeed that you don't want to do that yet) and you shouldn't feel pressurised into accepting, and if you chose not to you can either send a neutral message back (a la Phiala) or leave the invite neither accepted or refused and leave it open for her to make further advances to you, in which case (if she sends a message) you may be able to get a better feel for whether she has changed or whether she is simply collecting facebook friends.Do you actually feel that you want to invest time and energy in trying to build a new realtionship with her? I have to admit that with the person who sent me a friend request my feeling is that even if she has changed and is no longer the bully that I remember, I don't actually want, or feel the need, to find out. I have friends whom I know I like and trust - I may be missing out the opportunity for a beautiful friendship, or to learn whether she knows or understands the effect she had, but so be it.

All of which is a very longwinded comment, so it's a good thing Q has just encouraged us to ramble on...

Also just realised I didn't comment on the good news and pretty pictures of Cabal. Is he allowed to bounce? Because with Boss coming home, I'm guessing he'll want to.

Okay, seeing as we're being frank here. About posting and being ourselves. Is anyone else a little bit paranoid about all the twitter/fiends info. being posted on the blog page for all the lurking and stalkers who also read this blog religiously to see? I know they're out there... lurking. I'm trying to spread my wings and be open and truthful, but SO many people read this that we don't even know about. Most are just awesome shy fiends, but.... Just me?

That said... Chantrelle, I love and support you for who you are. I will do whatever you need to make you feel safe and loved. It's hard to embrace the teenagers we once were and tell them we love them. Because most of us felt unappreciated as teens. Maybe we should look at our younger selves through our grown-up eyes and accept them, hug them, and acknowledge that puberty is a time of growth and learning. It's tough for everyone. Even the ones who seem to have the answers.

Everyone acknowledges and loves their inner child. I vote that we acknowledge and love our inner teen.

Ticia - yep, i get a little freaked out...especially talking about our Fiend gathering. I don't want to put details of that up here, it's to....out there.....

At 13:47 Blogger Jess said...

Ticia and Chantrelle - Agreed. I decided that in the case of my Twitter addy I didn't care who saw it, given that I don't say anything much on it and my whereabouts can't actually be traced from it. But in retrospect a big, easy-to-find list may not be the most secure manner in which to connect us all. I'm sure that Dr. Wicked will remove anyone from the list who asks nicely. I'll start, so other people won't feel shy about asking:

Dr. Wicked, will you please remove me from the Twitter list? Ta. :)

Hey Lorraine!

I ran across these keen little fairy houses this morning, and I thought "You know who would love these? Lorraine would."

Just something pretty to coo over!

I told ben that i would play with him as soon as he got dressed. That was 2 hours ago and he's still in his jammies. I'd get upset but he's letting me get in plenty of computer time that way! :P He's in his jammies, in his room, listening to JoCo and playing nicely. How mad can i really get? :P

At 14:00 Blogger Ticia said...

*smile* little ones are so cute.

I'd give a lot in order to still be in jammies right now!!!

My computer is telling me it is 44 degrees outside. Above zero!

HEAT WAVE! I guarantee you that when I go to my car in a couple of hours I will see at least two people in shorts.

Aleta, all I can say is, "Bbbbbrrrrr!"

Granted, we're supposed to reach at least 75 F today.

Hi, Rebecca! Cool houses!

::sniff::
::sniff, sniff::

Mmmmmmmm. Warm and spicy!

At 14:25 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

No going to get him. This is still a movie trip. They handle these things.

I wouldn't worry too much about these things, being private and all. We don't talk about anything all that private, or if it is, don't , and who exactly might care?

I can't see some crazed person deciding to come and stalk us all at the gathering. The same crazed person would know where I am every other weekend, and they haven't come yet....

I'm just saying, it's ok to be careful, but don't let your imaginations get too far ahead of you...

At 14:25 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Oh , and hello Rebecca! And welcome, Love the fairy houses!!!!!!! You are quite right about me....How did you ever guess?

At 14:27 Blogger spacedlaw said...

There is one happy dog (well two, counting Ticia's).

At 14:40 Anonymous Anonymous said...

I knew because I am totally stalking your blog.

**re-lurks**

At 14:41 Blogger Ticia said...

You make a good point Lorraine. I spent so many years avoiding the computer and hiding in my little house, fearful of change and the unknown. I've changed many of my habits and lost much of my fear, but sometimes I get nervous.

And Nat, Olivia is just exhausted from her frenzy at my return. :-) She had a great time at my aunt's house, but won't leave my side. (I'm laying on my bed with the sleeping puppy and my iPhone) Ordering Thai food to be delivered, then I'll sign on to the laptop. Tons of fiendish video to be seen...

At 14:43 Blogger Marjorie said...

Hi Rebecca, and welcome.

At 15:04 Blogger Na said...

Sorry to say Sue, there's probably more cold and snow coming soon. It's cold here today, and has been snowing almost continually for over 24 hours. They're calling it a "spring snowstorm". Okay. Sure.

Welcome, Lounge and Rebecca! And R, it's in the fine print - no re-lurking. ;) Speaking of which, wherever did Bridget go?

In addition to not Friending someone on fb, you can block followers on Twitter.

I don't know if this is age or parenthood (I suspect both), but I've finally (thank fods) arrived at a point where my time is too precious to worry much about offending people I neither know nor want to know. You know?

I still want to be polite and respectful in general - most beings deserve that much. But I can't enjoy chattering on fb or wherever if I worry too much that "so-and-so will read this, too..." I guess that's the precious time thing again - I have so much I must do, I'd like anything else I undertake to be enjoyable.

That said, of course I still do worry sometimes, but then am too busy for it to linger overlong. Chatting with fiends is a nice tonic for all of it.

At 15:19 Blogger Ticia said...

Oohhh.. That migh tbe a good name:

FabLo's Bake Sale and Rejuvenation Tonic.

Morning Fiends
Welcome Lounge and Rebecca, and did I miss someone new yesterday?

I have just discovered my arms are sore from yesterday's visit to the dentist - which would be from hanging on to the chair in anticipation of some ouch.

At 15:41 Blogger Marjorie said...

Sorry to hear that, Sally. I mean, good that the tooth isn't hurtng but bad the jaw and arms are. Hears to things stopping hurting at all soon.

At 15:55 Blogger Na said...

Sally, I'd recommend a hot bath, but is it still too warm? (Oh - guess I could check your weather station!)

I, on the other hand, am off to put 20 layers of clothes on myself and the birthday girl, so we can pick up her sibling, who probably didn't get to have outside recess on account of snow. How I wish we could ship your state a snowstorm or two, Sally!

At 17:05 Anonymous Anonymous said...

FL, you are now up to 80 followers. Better get those twitter ideas in line. lol

When MacGregor (my cocker spaniel) blew out his ACL the vet indicated that the tear had probably started years ago and that he just came down wrong on it and that was that. His activity level and general health improved immeasurably after his ACL repair. I'm glad Cabal is doing well...please pass my good vibes to him. :)

At 17:06 Blogger gaypet said...

Wow I am so glad that Cabal is eating and gaining weight! I will keep my fingers crossed for warmer temps (or at least no ice storms or anything) for all of the walking you will be doing.

Horse photos are FAB! Thanks.

Much Sudafed is being had here today. At least M's fever is gone!!

I am now being summoned to play doll house. So off I go. :)

Good day all!

At 17:13 Blogger Siri said...

And, if we want a safe place to list twitters, there is a closed Fiends site on facebook where we could post it - only fiends allowed.

At 17:28 Blogger Chantrelle said...

hey crazy cat ladies, i've got the nasty innard bits from a whole chicken. I thought i'd give my kitty cat a treat--do i need to cook them first? I give him raw fish but i don't know the rule with chicken.

At 17:30 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Raw should be alright - so long as he likes it. Tysie will eat cooked chicken but not raw chicken more than half a mouthful.

At 18:09 Blogger dabbler said...

Siri, I keep meaning to ask...how do I find this secret place on FB?

Having asked, I will be back later to find the answer, as I know Fiends are the keepers of ALL wisdom, imparting it as appropriate.

At 18:09 Blogger Dr. Wicked said...

@Jess
Your name/twitter ID has been removed from the list.

On the topic of privacy, I think Twitter is the least of the offenders, you need only put exactly what you want and it need not be linked to anything else. My opinion about web privacy is much the same as my opinion on home security, anyone can get what they want if they want it bad enough. Be smart. lock your doors, take reasonable precautions and then let it be.

Just my two cents

At 19:15 Blogger EmilyLady said...

Na, I struggle a lot - as Lorraine knows - with being polite and the idea of offending others, even people who are invasive, disgusting, hurtful, or all three. I have encountered men in their forties (!) who are very flirtatious with me and I still struggle with the idea of saying, "Back off!" or even "Excuse me, I really need to go this way now."

At 19:18 Blogger Dan Guy said...

I'm amazed at how this community has grown.

Night 'all...I'm fading fast.

At 20:27 Blogger EmilyLady said...

Ditto, Dan Guy. I remember the first time I visited the blog, there were something like twenty-six comments, and I thought, "Wow. What a number!"

At 20:41 Blogger Stacy Hurt said...

1undredandeighteenfriggedycomments all ready! holy cow!~ i will go back & read if i get time BUT I'm astonished that Cabal had that injury for soooo long! Poor pooch! Animals mask so well, it makes it really difficult to aid them ya?

Glad he's on the mend & takin the food by storm!

I always wanted to get a dog to have to make me go for walks but really; I'm so not dog people. Love them; just couldn't have one.

All my kitties say hi & loves & chuurups and Aspen is being introduced to my treadmill very slowly. I'm hoping that when he sees me on it he'll get the idea & maybe when I make it really slow & put a toy on there he'll get up on it too get some needed running time.

He's such a love; I mean really; I call him my 'muffin man' cos as soon as you pick him up (all 17lbs) he's makin muffins and meowing sweet nofings in your earz.
and drooling

he drools

meows; and sort of gargles and then drools; it's hilarious.

At 20:56 Blogger Na said...

{{{Emily}}} That weirdness happened to me, too, especially when I was about eighteen and working in a bookstore. Nothing for it but topractice, practice, practice saying "go away". :)

At 21:02 Blogger Siri said...

Dabbler - let DragonSally or DataGoddess or me know what your Face Book name is, and we will invite you to the Fabulous Fiends.

At 21:10 Blogger Hera said...

I'm new to twitter 'herasings' on there.. joined to see what all the fuss was about, and it looks like an addictive place.. (not always a good thing)

Yay for Cabal eating more! I've recently changed Brjánn's food.. to Royal canin 'Hair and Skin' (hehehe minus the hair)

He was on Eukanuba, but a very good friend of mine (who's also a vet nurse) found out and told me they do some horrible animal testing :(

The good news is he's much more enthusiastic about the new food :)
xo!

Hello fiends! Work was very busy today, so no commenting until now.

Lorraine, I wrote a Tanka, on the trip home, in honor of Armageddon and your weather.... Well, the weather you'd like to have.

Teas are boiling over.
Dumb creatures have learned to speak.
Gaiman has made the call.
Sheets of lightning rend the sky.
Thunder boom, Armageddon.

I didn't want you to feel like Twitter got something you didn't.
