Starring Kylie and Spring (Sort of) With Bees...

Remember Kylie Aka Selena Kyle, the little Kali-co Kitten I rescued from the shelter here who went off to LA to live in the Treehouse with Kitty and Batman? (what a sentence!) Well, here she is in all her glory! It was, I think, one of those things that Fod arranges from time to time, if we listen closely. Boss told me take the wish list from the shelter and go shopping, I stopped in with the loot, and looked at the Kitties, like I need another? And there she was, WAY on top, not even WITH the other kittens being cute, and SHE told me she was coming and was I nuts could we PLEASE get out of here.

What do you do? You take her, and wait three weeks till your friend Miss Kitty comes and falls in love, and takes her home to crusty old Batman, crusty no longer that he has his Kylie! Here she is out in the land of glitz, modeling her sun catching crystal collar with hot new male supermodel Dreeuuw! (All supermodels have names that get spelled weird,it's how you can tell)

Listen, carefully, sometimes, and you can hear things. (Not about Supermodels, but when Fod whispers.)

Speaking of Miss Kitty, she has a new blog up HERE about some fun happening out West this weekend....

Spring came today! All the way up to 45! And I am not being sarcastic here, that IS Spring in this part of the world. I felt so alive, and energized I sent WoodsmanHans right out to the garage to organize the new and old bee hives. Only a matter of time until the bees get here!

He did a great job, but I had to laugh at this next, it looks like some sort of HazMat area! What ARE we doing out here????? (Not telling, really)

Spring, sadly, does not last long here. In fact, as of about nine tomorrow morning it is over, as the Winter Storm Watch has been changed to a Winter Storm Warning, and we are likely to be buried by nightfall. It was so lovely, I say wistfully. I really enjoyed today. Here, this next picture, I think, says it all, my poor suit, hanging there, waiting, for a Spring that will never come...

You know what it is?

Armageddon.

Love and Winter,
Lorraine

Dr Wicked has the luck!

Thanks Grace, I love the one with Drew and Kylie, it just makes me happy, seeing them together.

Magic is an adventure I will not tire of. What next, we wonder?

Great pics Lorraine, Kylie looks wonderful in her spiffy collar, her and drew are quite the pair! yes, your bee suit looks quite empty waiting for spring (but you... you ..had 45.....we didn't get no 45, we just get freezing rain today, and snow/freezing rain tomorrow) someday spring will come, i only hope i am sane enough to recognize it. Stay safe tomorrow! Oh and how great the Magic is greeting you, he is transforming thanks to your hard work.

Have a great time Kitty, and give my love to Hannah and tell her I will be ready SOON for my tattoo! I can't wait!

Photos are priceless! Of course the names on the suits is just so over the top and organized that it's scary, really... The collar is the bomb; and nothing short of what she deserves (unless you happen to have some Tiffany&Co. laying around).

LOL 'Bee Guest'!

At 22:19 Blogger Chantrelle said...

That kitty is too cute for words!!!

I'm currently listening to ben describe his poop in the toilet to me...really, at least cats don't tell you about their business.

the joys of parenting.

Q - you are evil with the top chef teasing!!! It's overlapping with Lost so i actually have to change the channel over to record it after Lost is over. As much as that show is driving me bonkers, i have to watch it.

At 22:26 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

I have to bee organized with the bee things, Stacy, you would not believe what happens if someone isn't...We are actually a little famous in the bee world for our pics with everything in it's LABELED place.

And we simply must have Bee Guests..Mmhhahahahaha!

Well, Chantrelle, Top Chef is certainly over here. Yes, it is. But I'm not saying nothing. Nope, not me.

At 22:30 Blogger Siri said...

Hmmmm. Wonder why I crave tea?

At 22:38 Blogger Ticia said...

You guys are so cute with all your cooking talk. Kylie is absolutely gorgeous and I love the collar.

The bee suits remind me of the Dr. Who "library episodes" ::shudder::

Hi Grace! I'm glad the pictures helped ease the sad.

All of you fiends with fierce weather futures be safe. We've got more rain coming, but I'm excited about that.

Lorraine, how's your horsie friend who was in the car accident? (I'm horrible with names)

At 22:41 Blogger AletaMay said...

Wow. Bee World is so neat and clean and organized. Cool.

Kylie is just lovely and so grown up.

Sweet.

I have been very out of step with life online this week. Guess some weeks are like that.

Love reading the goings-on here in the world of the fiend though!

(my "o" key is being very annoying and only working half the time. Arggg!)

At 22:48 Blogger ariandalen said...

Kylie is the supermodel. Just look at her expression. ;)

Magic looks forward to your visits! Not peeing on the futon has to be next!

And why is it that the Bee Guest suit appears to be the smallest? ;)

At 22:58 Blogger Rubius said...

Beautiful pictures. Kylie is looking wonderful. Sadly I wish I could say the same about my Lamie. She hasn't taken to the new living arrangements and doesn't seem to be eating much. She has lost some weight and she was a skinny cat to start with. My roomies and I are watching her closely.

The hives make my blood stir... like fresh canvas and new paint-brushes. I sure wish I could paint one, but I am not quite sure what I would wish to paint on it. I just love the Kelly hive.

At 23:04 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

My friend is McKenna, and I am not sure, haven't heard from Horsetrainer Mel, tho I've called, I think things are a bit busy perhpas...

Why is the guest suit the smallest, you ask? Well, the bees don't really need much now, do they?????

We are very careful who we invite to wear that suit.

Oh yes.

Rubious, hope lamie gets to feeling better, there's lots of things you can do to help her, get some feliway diffusers to start, make sure she has her own litter, and a place she feels safe, and keeping other cats away till she is used to the place might be really good...Take it back and take it slow, and all will be well...

At 23:23 Blogger ariandalen said...

At 23:57 Blogger Adri said...

Some of us long for spring, you know. It's already passed us by here in south texas and this Friday it will be 90F (32.2C).

This was really meant to be a drive-by ticky box comment.

Beautiful pics of Miss Kylie (and her admirer as well)

At 00:01 Blogger vampi said...

kylie looks adorable! wasn't she just a lil ball o fluff last week? wow time flies.

i love the bee suits in a row, that is so cool.

i was not happy with tc, but then again i kind of thought everyone on that show was a douche.

best thoughts for mckennna and lamie

and all this talk of Armageddon made me think of the clash...Armagideon Time because since i know the song, that's what always springs to mind when someone mentions armageddon

At 01:28 Blogger vampi said...

what did you think of top chef? my dislike for stefan wavered a bit towards the end.

also cute article on bbc about funny names. my fave is jo king, but stan still is a close second.

At 01:31 Blogger Unknown said...

Ticia - SNAP, The Library was my first though when I saw the bee suits, and my second thought was 2001 Space Odyssey.
Kylie looks adorable - and so does Drew.
Hey, I so forgot to tell you all. Popped in to our vets today to get some supplies and managed to be waylaid by a 2 week old kitten, an adorable little calico gal who is being hand reared by our vet. Oh, those heart rendering kitten mews.
Pete told me 3 pets are enough, damn the man. Such an adorable itty bitty kitty.

At 02:15 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Aw Magic misses you!:) Great news that is. Kylie has gotten so big! She and Drew make quite the photogenic pair.

I love that pic of all the suits all lined up in a row. It's Just Not Fair for the weather to be so nice one day before a snowstorm.

At 04:10 Blogger Marjorie said...

Excellent news abotu Magic - it is lovely to hear how he is gaining trust and confidence, after the bad times he has had in the past.

Also love the bee suit pictures - I especially like that you all have labels on the wall and that yours says 'Quiche' not 'Lorriane' (although that pic has a slightly creepy feel, as if all of you might be hung up there inside the suits...)

Herbs - good drainage. And I think for things such as rosemary and thyme you probably want a fair bit of sand in the pot.I can never gro parsley and mint in the same container - one always grows like made and strangles the other.

And my rosemary thrives on neglect...

It seeam Armageddon didn't happen after all. I think my favourite part was Boss's tweet when he said;

"Honestly, if you're given the choice between Armageddon or tea, you don't say "what kind of tea?" People.I love you all, but...(shakes head)"

Have decided that stuff like this is why Twitter is fun.

OK. Work now.

At 05:02 Blogger Lexocat said...

OK, I, too, LOLed over "Bee Guest" and wondered why that suit seemed the smallest. I was also mostly impressed and slightly unnerved by the organization of it all. (In fact, it wouldn't have surprised me in the least to see "Bee Guest" actually labeled "Human Sacrifice" or something on that order...must be all the Armageddon talk turning one's thoughts all grim and such.)

Kylie has that kind of gorgeous kitty fur that makes me want to put my face in it.

I love that Magic is a happy Bengal. You are the Annie Sullivan of Bengals (and how disturbing is it that the first name my brain came up with was Annie Sprinkle...not at all the same thing!)

Erm, OK. This was supposed to be a ticky box comment but it grew.

At 06:06 Blogger Jess said...

Just LOOK at that kitty face. Look at it. If that nose was in beeping range, I'd like totally beep it. And good news about Magic! Hooray for happy kitties.

I don't see any Vashta Nerada in the bee suits. I think you're okay.

Hey, who turned out the lights?

Hey, who turned out the lights?

Hey, who turned out the lights?

Etc.

Hope McKenna is ok too, and Adri - 90? that's warm, but it sounds like utter heaven to me right now. And :( on losing the job in sf-part of running a company but that never gets easier (we lost a big one two weeks ago, yuch)

I too wondered about the smaller bee suit, and love the creepy organization, and those new hives beg to be painted. have a good day all, off now to grade and play catch up.

At 07:29 Blogger DataGoddess said...

Kylie is so big! And looks so happy!

Magic is just magic. Or should that be you're just magic, Q?

Bee World is ready, now the weather just needs to cooperate. The suits are very eery hanging there, seemingly lifeless. I would be careful walking close to them, you never know when an empty glove will reach out...

Personally, if my choice is Armageddon or earl gray, I'll take Armageddon. Earl gray is like coffee, there's no amount of sugar or milk that can make it palatable.

I get to go back to the pain doc today to tell them "please, can I have some more" shots in my knees and back.

At 07:48 Blogger Marjorie said...

DG - hope they can give you the shots - it seemed as though they really helped you

At 07:53 Blogger Dan Guy said...

That is a cute kitten! No small wonder that Miss Kitty fell in love.

(Dreeuuw isn't bad either, I suppose.)

At 08:11 Blogger Marjorie said...

PS - I agree with you about the Earl Gray

At 08:31 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Morning everyone.

I hate to break the fantasy , but I m horribly honest in the morning, the Bee Guest suit, isn't really any smaller than the others, I think it is a M or an L, it's just hanging that way, and looks that way.

Sorry.

Jess, you are insane. You could have killed your father. Did Mistress ever get up?

Mine says Quiche because I would wonder what I was doing wrong if anyone out thee called me "Lorraine"

No Bees today.

Vampi, my dislike for Stephen suffered no such wavering. Karla tanked. That is her biggest problem, listening to what others want and going with it and not asserting what she knows is right for her. She needs to get over it, harsh lesson.

At 08:33 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Earl Grey is kind of like drinking tea with perfume.

At 08:34 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Does it, uh, matter what time I get up? Like if I get up at 4:30 will you all sleep in?

At 08:41 Blogger Phiala said...

Hi Quiche!

I'm at work.

I'm not awake.

I'm trying to remedy that second item with the very good coffee I keep at work.

Earl Grey is icky, even if all the best starship captains drink it.

I think it's wonderful that you have a guest bee suit, and would love someday to try it. :)

Do you have a second "special" bee suit for less-than-welcome guests?

At 08:42 Blogger Jess said...

I'm up, Q. I think Phiala is, too.

Oh, I'm tempted on the dad-killing thing. Veeerry tempted. But he does such nice work. And for free!

But he thinks nothing of getting up and going BUMP in the night. Or leaving the front door hanging open. Or using the Art Pot I used to keep in the bathroom as a slop bucket when he wants to unclog a drain. The man is a law unto himself.

Grumblepoos.

At 08:52 Blogger Dan Guy said...

No bees today. Bees tomorrow. There's always a bee tomorrow.

At 08:54 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Making sure there ARE no un-welcome guests is part of my job, Mistress. It is a large woods. Filled with secrets. One makes do.

I wish I could have ALL the Fiends out in Bee Suits! (Loving the visual)

Jess, kind of a give and take situation, I imagine. Hide the art pot. It is good to know what battles one can win.

Must drink ths tea quickly, morning chores are done, (laundry started , 8 littler boxes cleaned, Bengals fed) and I see by Twitter that I have a rather awake Boss.

WEIRDEST nightmare!!!!!! Woke up sweating, tied up in the duvet, with Bengals on top of me, and the feather bed portion of the ting mostly on the floor.

Don't want to KNOW what I was dreaming about...

At 08:55 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Always Bees at all tomorrows parties, Dan...

At 08:56 Blogger Jess said...

It wasn't a dream about a Superpanda, I take it.

At 08:57 Blogger Phiala said...

Q, that's why I specified not-so-welcome rather than unwelcome.

Unwelcome is easy, but there's that other type of guest that you are forced to put up with for some reason. Until and unless you make their visit so (accidentally) unpleasant that they do not return.

At 09:00 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Og Ofds, I am laughing! Look at this Weather Forcast for today, it doesn't even KNOW what it wants ot be? Am I a blizzard? Am I a thunderstorm? I'll be both!!!!!!!!!!!

"Colder. A chance of snow early in the morning... then snow and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Snow may be heavy at times in the afternoon. New snow accumulation of 7 to 9 inches."

I love the understated "Snow may be heavy, 7-9 inches"

MAY be heavy? 7-9 inches, means 2-3 FEET of real snow!!!!!!!!!

(It goes onto say another 1-2 tonight, like that doesn't really matter)

At 09:00 Blogger ariandalen said...

some of you have been up for hours. I still say it's too d--- early to be up. Maybe this is why I sent a big ass email to you, Ms. Fabulous. Maybe it will help with your grey weather day.

DD1 woke up at 5:30 this morning. Her alarm doesn't go off until 6, but she had to wake us up anyway. At least we didn't have to repeatedly tell her to get moving. DD2 is still in bed.

I want nap. ::sigh::

'Tis is a gloomy-looking suit, it is.

I go tthat Adriandalen, sadly, it was a little TOO big ass, and I could not open it. If you have Iphoto and e-mail from there, it gives you a size option, try medium, or ask these Fiends how to make them smaller.

I DO have a package for you going out today, with the Spicy Brains scent from BPAL.

No corset for Adri today, but it is on the list...

I can resize them for you if you want, ariandalen. Email me. (One at a time, though. :) )

At 09:58 Blogger vampi said...

photoshop.com is a free online photo editing site. you can resize there. i believe they also let you link to photos. not sure how much space they give you for photos

At 10:02 Blogger louisa said...

El, will your herb garden be in the ground or in pots? Personal favourites for the ground are garlic chives, pineapple sage, bronze fennel, and of course catnip! The bees love the catnip as much as the kitties. Thankfully they co-exist quite peacefully though the cats will hunt all other insects, bugs and small buzzy fluttery things.

At 10:12 Blogger ariandalen said...

Actually, Vampi, DH bought Adobe Photoshop Elements almost three months ago. I simply haven't insisted that he show me how to use it yet.

At 10:28 Blogger Stardustgirl said...

Quiche - that IS a Hollywood collar. She looks like a content kitty.

Jess - are we related? I swear that sounds like something that would happen here.

58 here today - w00t! Rainy mostly, but I'll take it.

Ariandalen - I can re-size if you need, and can usually handle big attachments.

Any Fiends with paid LJ accounts? The old blog had an LJ feed so this would pop up on a friend list, but this doesn't have one (yet). It's magic only paid accounts can do.

At 10:30 Blogger Na said...

Dissing the Earl Grey! I love it. My host family in Sweden brewed it every morning, so the smell takes me back to their kitchen in summer, looking out at grey rocks and emerald-green grass and birch trees, every time. Though chai is best, with honey and soy milk in. Mmmmmm, heaven.

Bee suits all in a row! Very tidy. But will it stay so all summer long? :) And the image of 20+ people milling around in bees suits; :D

Hooray for Magic. I imagine some day he will want to follow you out, Q.

Ms. Kylie seems to have cat 'tude in spades, adorably.

Three days of snow and now sun, but bitter cold. Fods, let this not be spring.

So true. Bleah.
I actually tried to drink perfume once when I was a toddler, going on the logic that if it smelled good then it would taste good. It didn't.;)

Chicken grease? Isn't that schmaltz?
(Sorry couldn't resist;)
Don't worry Toni, I would've been wanting it to look like chicken grease too.

At 12:38 Blogger Chantrelle said...

I too will take Earl Grey donations...that's not entirely true--some earl grey tastes like soap. I don't remember if it's Twinnings or Stash so i avoid both of those. I like Tazo and the kind i get from my little tea shop here in town. I also like the Bergamot chocolate made by the best chocolatier in the world: Recchiuti.

At what point does "allergy attack" become "sinus infection"?

When your temperature goes over 100? (100.4 yesterday)

Or when it goes all green?
(don't ask...sorry, for those of you eating lunch...)

My apologies--I've been able to throw a sporadic note onto Facebook, but utterly lacked energy to do more than pseudo-lurk here. Reading the Tilt-a-Whirl of comments over the last few days has been a GREAT distraction, however!
Thank you all :)

Bee Suits, Library: Jess gave me nightmares. I now have a new "scariest imagery" to give myself goose pimples.

Miss Kylie is SO obviously an LA cat now. She was clearly born to Sun. Q-you were the medium for her rescue...the feline pantheon of gods obviously has many uses for you!

Tea or Armageddon. Well, yesterday I would have chosen Armageddon (feeling somewhat better today.) On the whole, however, Tea.

And that *would* be Earl Grey, matched only by Lapsang Souchang in my affections. Yes, I'm quite fond of boiled burnt shoe leather water, thank you. Seriously.

Where have I not caught up...OH! yes, of course. TC--the only possible outcome, after Carla (once again) let herself be overly influenced by someone else. Think about it, girl, your sous chef is a sweetie but SHE LOST. So WHY follow her suggestion and do something you've never done before instead of playing to your strengths. Sigh.
Carla was my favourite, but at least Hosea cooks with heart and imagination. Stefan was a freakin' robot, and a snotty one at that.
Plus he would take shortcuts that took the soul out of his cooking /end TC rant>

Okay, final question. WHAT is Dr. Wicked DOING in that icon thumbnail? Oh, wait, snap. I just viewed it full-sized. That's his HAND. whewwww....

Back to the meds. as if I needed anymore. Carry on with your original programming! :)

At 12:47 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Toni....

So...if you were to get it in your arms, instead of your legs...

would that make it chicken elbow grease?

Just wonderin' Hope you are feeling better!

And bergamot chocolate! That sounds simply wonderful.....sigh...

Sorry about the sinus infection, just keep it from turning into pneumonia. No fun. :(

At 12:58 Blogger Marjorie said...

Poor Lys. Hope you feel better soon. I'm very sneezy but no temp (crosses fingers)

I think it's the Bergomot in Earl Gray I don't like, so would guess that from a personal perspective, bergomot chocolates would be a waste of good chocolate. Chantrelle, you may have my ration of Earl Gray...

Lots of warm thoughts to those fiends in cold and snowy places. I feels chilly to me here but you would all be running around in T-shirts and enjoying the mild weather, I suspect. There are lots of snowdrops out and I have seen daffodils with buds, although no blooms as yet (Not in my gerden, I'm not good at flowers, but elsewhere)

Q, did Boss tell you that someone crocheted him a Bee and gave it to him in Dublin? It has button eyes.

At 13:00 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Ari--no worries there! It is FAR too hot here (and dry) to go the pneumonia route. At least, I think so. Okay, I'm in bed and too lazy to reach the cord. Battery is dying. Meds kicking in.

Sleep now. But happy thoughts to all the busy bees I mean Fiends out there. Will catch up again on all of you when next I wake.....

Obvious: a Wybee.

NICE Jess!!

Hmmm. Blogger just ate my comment right up.

To sum up:

-the armageddon is a blizzard, it's outside my door and my work has officially closed.

-I love the bees. All kinds of them.

-The bee suits are menacing and charming at the same time.

-What am I going to do with my afternoon off?

I don't know, El. You could always read. :)

I have more red oaks about to bloom. Ones that weren't at 5:00 PM yesterday.

Happy Happy Firbday to the lovely Siri!

At 16:16 Blogger Marjorie said...

Yes, Happy Firbday!

Q, I've been looking at Boss's snow & Cabal pics - are you completely buried in snow yet? it looked pretty wild.

Stay warm.
(and all other MN fiends)

At 16:21 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Buried don't cover it, as it were. Who do you think took the photos of Boss and Cabel???

Wait till you see me in the snow tonight. I tottaly walked the dog!

At 16:24 Blogger AletaMay said...

So.

There is SNOW.

I had a meeting this morning and the snow was starting just as the meeting ended. I got in my car to drive to my office to work and within about 10 minutes the snow got so intense that there was less than one block visibility. Now I live in Minnesota and really that is not earth shattering or unheard of. However, I discovered that the gradual deterioration of my windshield wipers had reached a critical point. They did not actually get rid of the wet stuff -- more just smeared it around. I could not see.

Seriously.

I knew that it would only get worse by the time I had to go to another meeting and then home. I slowly and carefully somehow miraculously drove myself home where I have been ever since. I am glad that I can work from home and I did get most everything I needed to get done tackled (including the other meeting).

The thing that was most scary was the people who were driving without their lights on and me not being able to see clearly.

Yicks!

Yay Na, Chantrelle and Lys, Earl Grey Rules. Although, it's only the Twinings one that I like. Bergamot chocolate sounds wonderful.

Sorry to hear you're so sick Lys, it sounds awful. Hope you feel better soon. By the sound of your jokes, you're getting there :)

Happy Firbday Siri. Hope you have lovely cake and something stronger than Earl Grey. Nothing is bad for you if you eat it on your birthday!!

Can I just say I really love it when anyone says y'all. Really :)

DG hope your knees feel better soon too.

Stay warm Quiche. How do you make yourself go out in that?

Can we get a photo of you in the antique mink? At least I think it was you who mentioned they had one.

Aletamay, that sounds soooo scary. I hate driving when I can't see and you're relying on other people making themselves visible. And they don't!

At 16:46 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Oohhh, I've never done this before. 100th :)

At 16:49 Blogger gaypet said...

So, I left an eloquent and witty post a few hours ago and it seems it was eaten!! Bother!!

I have no idea what I said before so I will just say hello and snow, snow, snow....

Oh wait, I did say something about the bee suit giving me hope for Spring. Two months away but still! ;)

The strangest thing has happened this morning. Made myself a pot of tea, drank one cup -went and showered and totally forgot about the second cup. How is this possible, I mean, this is TEA we're talking about.
*shakes head in disbelief*

Right. Off to catch up with comments.

Happiest of Firbdays to Siri with many happy returns of the day!!

Very glad to hear you made it home AletaMay those conditions sound terrifying. I hope all the fiends up that way are safe and warm.

For once Milwaukee appears to have lucked out on the storm thing and we're getting about 1" of rain instead of 12" of snow!

At 16:59 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Don't have to make myself go out, it's kind of fun. Sadly, no mink, it's not that cold.

At 17:01 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Ohhh, now I can read the post in LJ, in Google Reader and here. We are everywhere.
DG, that injections sounds painful. Was it?
Jess does your dad want to come and do some handyman things here? I'll feed him really well *grin*

I'm partial to Earl Grey too -and bergamot chocolate. YUM
Ohhhh - I want a Zombee too

HAPPY FIRBDAY SIRI

It's my Birthday!! and for a present, at my annual physical (cover your eyes, boys) I didn't have to have a pelvic exam!! Whoop! There are benefits of getting old.

Not to worry - we're going to do them every other year.

Whoop for me!

At 17:48 Blogger Siri said...

I didn't mean to kill the thread...

I got hailed on today. Does that match Q's 27 Feet of Snow?

At 17:55 Blogger Chantrelle said...

Don't hate me but it's sunny and about 65 here.

At 18:21 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Happy Birthday Siri!!!!!

(euphemism MIGHT be your friend next time, hee-hee. We DO have guys here...)

I am home! And I made it, no small feat in the feet of snow! The roads weren't exactly plowed, but Prius managed, getting stuck only once, and not for long.

Going to do a new post now, early for a change!

My stepdad's sister and niece are out here visiting from minneapolis...bringing them in to show them the pictures now

At 18:33 Blogger AletaMay said...

Chantrelle -- I bet it will be gone before they get back. Okay maybe that is wishful thinking.

At 18:35 Blogger Chantrelle said...

can someone send me the pictures of the frozen bubbles? Who took those?? I can't find the link.
Thanks!!

At 18:38 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

I am working on them, all downloaded , soon, impatient ones...

At 18:40 Blogger Siri said...

I told 'em to cover their eyes.... Ma always told us to cover our ears before she swore - it works with reading and eyes!

Looking forward to snow pics - it's been so long since I've seen the white stuff.

Not.

At 18:49 Blogger Na said...

Happy, happy Firbday, oh Siri!

Hmmm - what temp do you need for frozen bubbles? We've got bubbles around, and it's pretty cold out...

Yay Jacqui, for another Earl Grey vote. I tend to get Stash everything. So according to Chantrelle, one of us likes soap-tasting Earl Grey. ;)

Felt stabby earlier - owner of our home called at 1:30 to say, sorry I forgot to call you sooner, but can someone show the house at 3? Well okay. "And others tomorrow at 10:30 and 1:00?" Okay. And then these folks never showed up today.

But my, am I "virtuous" now - have done laundry, dishes, cleaning. Then the monsters and I made banana bread, and I've got dinner on. *whew* And played lots and lots of Peter Gabriel all the while - my current cure for the stabbies, it seems.

At 18:51 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Grrrr on your behalf Na, that's just plain rude of people to make bookings and not turn up.

At 19:12 Blogger Ticia said...

Happy Firbday Siri!

Get well soon sick fiends. Leave many Kleenex soldiers in your wake. Hee hee. (loved that Lys!)

Lorraine, I loved the pic you took of the boys under the tree. Cabal is so beautiful in full profile.

Lorraine and Aleta I am so glad you both got home safely.

I'm feeling kind of bluesy today. Luckily I noticed it early (the dead give away was when my head was trying to convince me that my dog was upset at me. Hello? It allowed me to realize I was in a funk though, so it's all good)
