My New Workout Buddy, and Magic's Great Adventure!

Here's Anamontana, my new workout partner! She is a half Arab/half Quarter Horse, and the sweetest girl you even did see.

And here, since you asked so nicely, are the Famous Half Chaps. Do they live up to your dreams, fantasies and naughty little minds? Perhaps not. How about this:

Maybe not. Riding is the best workout tho, and Melissa pushes the heck out of me. I am a noodle now. Anyone who says "Doesn't the horse do all the work?" Does NOT ride, I can tell you THAT! I will get fit. And learn to ride. Both of which are important right now.

I am a Zombie currently, but today was really good, both in terms of riding and workout. I'm starting to feel more like I know what I am doing. Somewhat anyway. Now I just need the muscles to DO it. I will build them. Oh, yes. I have a vision....A dream...A goal...

A Noodle head is what I have.

On another topic, Magic has gone on an Adventure and is currently holed up in one of to crawl spaces in the basement. We had been playing in his doorway, and all was well, but when I went back in with his dinner, he bolted! Straight for the basement, as bad luck would have it, the one place he can get into places where I can't get him. He has to be SO scared poor thing. I am making a trail of tuna back to his room, for him to come out and follow, but he hasn't so far.

Poor little guy. I'll keep you posted.

I will leave you with this lesson in what can go horribly wrong when riding ponies double and bareback...

Love and Ponies,
Lorraine

Pretty horsie!

And I think the half chaps are pretty spiffy, too!

Hopefully, Magic will come out of the basement soon. ::sigh::

Such a beautiful horse!

Such lovely chappy things!

Noodle head Quiche is very cute.

And... does that bareback pony in the last shot have and arrow or something like an arrow stuck between her eyes?

At 20:31 Blogger Phiala said...

Magic will be back soon, none the worse for wear but having given you a tremendous scare.

Nice chaps. :)

At 20:33 Blogger Siri said...

Very nice chaps, and whip.

Aleta - it's a jump in the background. I love how the pony's expression is one of disgust.

"Silly Humans."

At 20:33 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Nice chaps! Very cute photo of Quiche with whip and cat.
I like that Anamonata is poking her tongue out at the camera.

At 20:34 Blogger Beez said...

The chaps are quite nice, but my brain also went right to the Village People version.

Maybe next time?

ticky box

At 20:35 Blogger AletaMay said...

Thanks Siri. Only when I make the photo the biggest I can do I see that as possible!

At 20:38 Blogger Beez said...

Okay, what is this ticky box thing? I'm feeling all left out and Luddite-ish.

At 20:41 Blogger Siri said...

When you type in the leave the comment box, there's a little box underneath where you put your id and password that allows comments to go to your email address, if you want to. If you don't check it, you don't always know when your favorite people have commented. Unless you preview your comment before publishing it, you have to do a 2nd comment in order to tick the box, hence ticky box.

At 20:41 Blogger Siri said...

Remember, all this advice is coming from the woman who couldn't see the new post, because she failed to refresh her screen.

Beez, it's to get comments sent to your email inbox. The box shows up right below the

::snort::

And then there are those of us who simply prefer just to show up and read volumes of comments at a time. :)

At 20:46 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

I just noticed the same thing about the pony! Siri is right tho, it is a jump in the background, just looks like an arrow..

I love the one with her tounge out, it's like she is as tired as I am , poor horsie!

Chaps and a whip, eat your heart out Village People! Glad you like the chaps.

I know, the name. I think Anna Montana was a famous cowgirl tho, must look that up.

Beez, beware the ticky box, you may get more than you bargained for...

At 20:51 Blogger Beez said...

No worries. Like Ariandalen, I just show up and read volumes.

At 21:08 Blogger Adri said...

"Doesn't the horse do all the work?" Does NOT ride, I can tell you THAT!

Aint that the truth. People ask me this all the time (especially lately since I say I'm strength training so I can ride again).

Ana is gorgeous, Q. All the best aspects of both breeds, it looks like!

At 21:09 Blogger DataGoddess said...

Love the riding crop with the half chaps. Mrowr!!

Lovely horse! And the statement made by her tongue hanging out is excellent.

I hope poor Magic comes out soon. Are Mim and Venus out of the way so he won't be spooked by them? I hope he gets hungry and heads back to his room soon.

Thinking good magical thoughts for him and you!

At 21:10 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

I think it a measure of how tired I am that I was scrolling my tv listings and saw LOTR's was on and went oh, cool , yea!!!!!!

I, uh, have them on DVD.

Might not make 10 tonight.

At 21:13 Blogger vampi said...

aha those are like legwarmers, i was kind of expecting the other half of the chaps.

sorry about magic being magiced. do the girls go into the basement as well? maybe they will help him find his way out.

pregnant coworker went on sudden medical leave due to high blood pressure, so work is going to be busy this week as her job is redistributed.

At 21:14 Blogger Bulfinch's Aglaia said...

Actually, the pictures DO live up to my expectations! You and the half-chaps are cool and cute and lovely, I love horses, I love funny -- what more could I want from pictures??!! And I too ignore the ticky box; I prefer to read volumes and volumes of comments and such (wow, we talk a bunch, don't we).

Scared about tomorrow (big-time meeting at work) and rueing the day spent feeling awful and the screwed up homework, and once again, Q, you helped...

At 21:18 Blogger vampi said...

oh bother, somehow i hit enter and it posted. i meant to comment that the chaps are pretty cool, and i can imagine why you find them sexy. people think it's all about the obvious erogenous zones, but the calfs are very sensitive. they look awesome. horse pictures are way cool. ana is so pretty. the picture of you riding, it really looks like you are confident, which is also sexy.

At 21:21 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Adri, Strength training so you can ride again? And here I thought the strength training WAS the riding, hee-hee....Being ready is for wooses.

I do wish you luk tho, it would be fun to talk us some horse. Ana is pretty isn't she? She is really well put together, and did get the best of both. She is big too, hard to tell from the pics tho.

Yes, Venus and Mim are upstairs tonight, hopefully Magic will be back in his cave in the morning.

At 21:21 Blogger Adri said...

Also, just looking at those arena pics I'm all wistful. I can hear my instructor bellowing at me, "Heels down, shoulders back!" Ah, the good ol' days when having a heel creep up or missing a lead change lead to threats of head-shaving (only half of your head, mind, so you would look completely ridiculous).

At 21:21 Blogger Jess said...

Woo hoo, chaps! I din't know they were blue. Those are cool.

I love the one with pony's tongue hanging out, too. That's great. :D

At some point Magic will have to ask himself why on earth he's hiding in there when there's no feathersticks, food, or claws-under-the-door fun to be had. He'll come out.

My parents' cat used to like to get up into the basement ceiling. There's a fireplace with a mantel down there, and a rectangular hole in the ceiling just above that (which needs to be there so the can get at the gas shutoff valve). He used to jump up there and run around, mewing. Very annoying, but he never got stuck, at least; usually he'd just get bored and come down after about half an hour.

Cats: can't live with 'em, but it's not like you have a choice.

At 21:25 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Oh, Grace, thank you and I am glad I helped, hang in there!

Thanks too Vampi! It's funny, if you go back and look at the pic of me riding a week ago and then this one, I look way more together this week, and in control.

Sexy Chaps!

At 21:30 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Uh, Jess, the chaps are black leather (I just like writing black leather) not blue.....But you can think whatever you like.

HEAD SHAVING Adri? What kind of instructor did you HAVE?

I was thinking today about how lucky I am to have such a place to ride, on such great horses, with such a friend like Melissa to teach me. I am really lucky. It means a lot.

At 22:13 Blogger Ticia said...

Beautiful horsie pics!

Sorry that Mr. Magic has pulled a disappearing act. I'm sure he'll come out soon. Brat!

Must help 16 year old with homework...

At 22:16 Blogger Jane said...

The chaps looked blue on my screen, too.

At 22:40 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Magic came to the top of the stairs in the kitchen and is eating his tuna. I didn't make a move to him, he would have run back, I just talked nicely. There is a trail of dishes with tuna leading back to his room, where the big plate is, so we will see, gingers crossed.

At least he came to my call and ate, which I wouldn't have thought he would do.

He didn't look too scared, more like, wow, this is different.

Cats.

At 22:43 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Aw, he came when you called!

Its going to be interesting to see how different he is with you, now he's been out in the house.

I wonder if he'll tell you he wants out of the room now?

At 23:07 Blogger Ticia said...

How did the girls take all the excitement?

At 23:16 Blogger Na said...

I've just had a pleasant evening with the family, despite my stuffy head.

Then talked on the phone with a dear friend, whom I've known since grade 5, and we try to talk each month.

Now I am having a good chuckle, at the post and pics and comments. :D

Great way to wrap up the weekend. Night-morning, all.

At 23:23 Blogger Ticia said...

Night Na! And everyone else! I am off to bed myself.

At 23:40 Blogger Chantrelle said...

Lorraine - did keeping your "gingers crossed" help? Just trying to picture what you're crosssing ;-)

Hope he comes out!

I love the 1/2 chaps...they're like super tall spats! Gorgeous!

Had friends over for dinner. Potato leek soup, smoked salmon/apple appetizer. friends brought salad and apple crisp for dessert..yummy night :)

Hubby gets back tuesday morning so only one more day of being a single mom. This has been a long week and a half, i don't know how people do this alone. We've kept busy but always knowing it was only for 10 days!

At 23:42 Blogger Chantrelle said...

Wow. LOTS of stuff to catch up on. What a busy bunch! and Magic. Luckily (for my sentiment, anyway) I'd read Twitterings first, so knew that Magic was out from deep cover.
Wheeew!

Couldn't find Anna Montana, siren of the silver screen...but lots of others. Mayor Anna Montana....western clothing designer Anna of Montana...and even a worse horse name: "Tootsie Anna Montana". That poor pony.

Missed the WHOLE wedding dialogue, which is really too bad (she said selfishly) as we had great fun with ours....and it was pretty amazing considering how LITTLE money was spent. His parents (he was a poor little rich boy) helped a little bit (bride's father? He showed up....) but then, after everything was paid for, sprung this on us:
We will pay for your honeymoon. You can go skiing on glaciers in New Zealand and stay in a luxury hotel for two weeks, or see how long that same amount of money will last you traveling all over the UK and western Europe. (Six weeks, as it turns out....)

Oh, and much welcome to all the new faces (and brains) out there! If you stick around, you'll meet all of us eventually :) We really are friendly, and only ONE of us is an itchy epicurean where your cranial cavity is concerned.

back to snuffleupagussing...thank Fod for breatheright strips, at least I can leave the house once in a while *and* taste my food....

Morning all!

I hope Magic enjoyed his Big Adventure - I've found with my monster that his forays into the unknown, even if Scary at the time, have overall strengthened his character. It'll be interesting to hear if you notice a significant change in his behaviour in the next few days.

Belated Happies to Dan and Siri!

Aleta, you had tequila for breakfast? Those are my kinda friends!

Lys & Marj, hope you feel better soon

Sally, hoping the expected high winds don't materialise

Chantrelle, I thought spats too - a cross between Chicago mobster and Mr Darcy (yes, a peculiar combination I know but that's my brain)

Why did I wake with Danny Boy for a Monday morning soundtrack? What was I dreaming???

the books, the books are calling, from glen to glen...

At 05:47 Blogger Marjorie said...

I've had time to read the comments now - So good to hear about Magic - thefact that he came when you called and then felt safe enough to eat some of the tuna trail despite being out in unusual places sounds to me as though he has made enourmous progress - I would have expected him to bolt back to his room or else stay hiding in the basement.

I'm glad you had time to ride, and that you enjoyed it.

At 05:55 Blogger Jess said...

Oh shop of books, oh shop of boooooks, I love you soooo...

Good golly, I thought I was seeing navy blue! It must be my screen. Either way, the chaps are muy bien.

Heh! Magic is a bold and curious boy. Something tells me it won't be his last escape, hee hee! How did the girls take it? And did he go back in the end?

Feel better soon, everyone who's sick! Geez, when was the last time we were all well?

At 06:16 Blogger ivenotime said...

cool and sexy chaps, on a beautiful horse. so nice you were able to lure magic back - our cat got into the heating ducts once (thankfully in the summer) and it took us three days to coax her out. off to work! missing everyone in the brutal cold that is michigan - hope everyone has a warmer day than here!

At 08:09 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

HA! No longer feeling sorry for that Dissapearing Magic. Not only did he come out last night, but he followed my tail of tuna to his room, eating all the way, and then apparently came out and had himself a party, there are cat toys and feather sticks everywhere.

And oh, yes, I saw smarty pants this morning, came out to see if maybe I was leaving more tuna, before crawling back to the ducwork (THankfully ON not IN) where he watched me find clothes and get dressed.

HA! He is fine.

Venus and Mom are unhappy as they have to stay in the up part of the house, which since Lear and Mab hve one bedroom, means they get stairs, bathroom and cuddly bedroom./ Not happy.

May be a live trap for Mr Magic in the end. I can't have this ghost Leopard lurking around?

At 08:11 Blogger spacedlaw said...

Cheeky kitty!

At 08:27 Blogger louisa said...

Glad to hear he's none the worse for his Expotition.

At 08:33 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Ah, make that TRAIL of Tuna. And oh, no HE is fine.

Venus and Mim are throwing themselves at the door and yowling like banshees. Sigh, can you say Live Trap?

I can't let them out, Magic has no claws, and they will go for him., Later gen do not like EG's. Must ponder.

Now I am off for a workout/ride before work.

At 08:43 Blogger Jess said...

Oh, he's just taking the piss, now! He's not playing fair. :D

Do the girls get that angry with him around? Yikes. Seems a shame when they play claws-beneath-the-door so nicely.

At 08:52 Blogger Na said...

Ah, the Adventures of Magic continue. As you said: Cats.

The half chaps look a lovely dark azure on my display, but I can believe black.

Wanted to share this curious weather forecast w/ y'all, it's is a new one on me, anyway: temps rising from -15 to -7 C through Monday, with a.m. clear skies, then scattered flurries, then afternoon ice pellets as the humidity increases, and back to flurries overnight. Ice pellets? I'm guessing that means hail, but not sure.

Thanks Sally for the {cold care package}. Still plagued, unfortunately, which means rearranging some work this week. Meh. Or even, BAH.

At 08:57 Blogger Phiala said...

Ice pellets is kind of like tiny hail, I guess. Hail can get big and nasty; this is just small but frozen.

We've had a lot of ice pellets this winter in Pennsylvania. I've become kind of an expert.

At 08:58 Blogger Jane said...

I've had smart, clever cats and I've had not so smart (but v beautiful) cats, and the smart ones can be by far the most trouble, they remember everything and can get into anything. Sounds like Magic is one of the smart ones.

Hope all with colds are feeling better!

Here in NC we have our first snow of the year and everything is closed!

At 09:06 Blogger Jess said...

At 09:59 Blogger Na said...

Thanks Phiala. :) I think the increased humidity has something to do with pellets forming rather than continued flurries, ja?

And thanks for linking Jess, listening now.

At 10:50 Blogger ariandalen said...

I don't know, Na. Ice pellets could mean sleet, too. Or maybe something inbetween, say slail? Though I'd probably go with pea sized hail.

Ms. Fabulous, if Magic won't go back to his room while you're there, a Live Trap may be your best bet. I certainly don't have any better ideas.

Hey, Nathalie! You've been awful quiet lately. Glad to see you back. :)

Home today for Yet Another Appliance Repair- we remodled our kitchen last year and kept the appliances to "save money". Current tally is: new glass on oven doors (broken while moving by me), new glass on cooktop (broken by contractor- he paid but it set us back 3 weeks), new dishwasher soap dispenser (leaked), new freezer door seal, and new 'fridge thermostat. The Sears guy actually recognized my house this time.

And remind me to not talk about the contractor going out of business with the job not finished.

Carrying over the wedding conversation - we were engaged for 18 months, and my parents insisted having the big huge wedding. They paid, we got lots of presents, and I managed not to want to kill mom until the actual day of the wedding. My parents never actually added it all up, they told me they finally shredded the bills a few years ago (been married for almost 17 years).

Magic is a rascal!

Sally, can I have a cold care pack too? I currently have no voice and am on a con call that requires my participation. I'm also in my PJs. I want it to go away before Thursday, when I'm going to meet a friend I've known online for 6 years, and, well, he's cute, I'd rather not give him my cold ;-)

At 13:09 Blogger Rubius said...

Lovely horse, lovely photos.... and I see you have begun to twit!!

Hope the bengal adventure works out okay. At our house we have found a few holes into which we are quite concerned a small cat (and my Lamie qualifies) could crawl... we weren't sure if we just accidentally locked her outside last week or if she found a way out that we haven't yet discovered. You can believe that finding something to put over those holes WILL happen, when we decide to let the kitties back into that room.

Today I am very much distracted. I am waiting for test results for Lamie which should come in today. The non-eating was a result of nausia from the jaundice. My poor kitty is very lethargic and only wants to sleep. We have been force feeding her for several days now. The vet said it was a good idea and I am VERY glad we were doing that before we took her to see him.

Cross fingers for me, pls.

Who needs weddings? ;)

DH and I went to the JP three days after buying the marriage license. Didn't tell a soul until after the deal was done. My mother accused me of lying, when she wasn't complaining that she would have liked to have been there. Dad was surprisingly happy that I got married, not that I had skipped a wedding. He always said to just elope. My little brother wanted to know if I was pregnant. Granted, DH and I had already been living together for over eleven years at the time, and the house was in both our names.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. ;)

Ice pellets are still in the forecast, but more worrisome would be isolated furies, which is how I keep reading isolated flurries. Then again, better isolated Furies than Furies en masse.

At 15:33 Blogger Chantrelle said...

How do you take cover from Furies??

At 15:35 Blogger spacedlaw said...

A good umbrella?

At 15:36 Blogger Chantrelle said...

Surely simple nylon (or whatever umbrellas are made out of) won't fend off the furies.

Lobbing cold care packages around the Fiendom.

Windy here? Wow. Gusts. Lots. There has been rain too - very light here, roads are wet but any non-paved areas you wouldn't think it had rained.
I can see lots of wind damage happening, which because of the extended drought will probably mean lots of branches/trees down, so if I disappear from sight, it means power is out.

Oh -the chaps look dark blue for me too.

At 15:42 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Gentle scritches for Lamie

Poor poodles indeed. That has to be close to abusive doesn't it?

At 15:42 Blogger Na said...

I suspect there's no fending off Furies. Hide and pray they don't see you? But then some god/dess will likely turn you into a tree or boulder or something...

I think to be safe for Furies (isolated or not) you mostly have to avoid murdering your own parents or breaking oaths.

But take the umbrella too, to be safe.

(I only just got home to read comments. I don't think I'd ready to comment about the poodles, yet. )

(Ohh, but I got my Birthday Quiche T shirt today, and a Coraline soundtrack CD)

Rubius-- Thinking good, healing thoughts for your Lamie

Poodles are actually quite alright looking dogs when they're not 'poodle cut'. My parents have had standard poodles for years (the big ones), and my dad lately wanted to get a hunting poodle to take duck hunting.

This is, in my mind, the best image ever. Where I'm from, the only real hunting dogs are big-boned labs and lab-mixes. I can just SO see my father with a rangey, close-cut poodle on the back of his ATV.

Just crawled over in between meetings; back in I go!

At 15:53 Blogger Adri said...

A picture of a working, retrieving poodle (retrieving a lure, not a real duck, in case anyone is concerned)

At 15:55 Blogger Na said...

{{{Rubius and Lamie}}} Here's hoping for the least serious diagnosis possible.

I've met a couple standard poodles, they're very intelligent.

Monster pick-up time for me. *goes to look for umbrellas*

At 16:01 Blogger Dragonsally said...

I like all poodles, but especially standard poodles. Such a smart breed, and so beautiful.

Oh, I got my birthday Quiche t'shirt last week and does it EVER glow in the dark. Wore it to bed as well, and kept scaring myself with it.

At 16:16 Blogger Marjorie said...

Yes, non-tittivated poodles are nice, and very bright. But those poor dogs in the pictures. Somone should get these people a big, hairy stuffed toy to play with.

The cats are pretty, tho. I'm all for decorating animals in photographs.Much better all round.

(Tyablt did once get varnished, slightly, but he did that to himself ;-0)

Rubius, so sorry to hear about poor Lamie - do hope the diagnosis is good and that starts to improve soon.

I got Spicy Brains in the mail. :)

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

At 17:45 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Rubius--you are a very good mother, and I do wish Lamie all the good health in the world. I esp hope you don't actually have to force feed her for six weeks or more, that sounds rather horrid for both of you.

I must be thinking too much of Magic;
I read that one post as "Isolated Furries".....

and back on that wedding subject...we were married HERE by his family's housekeeper and the then mayor of Pasadena (not that we were allowed inside the house, we were married outside around the pool)...then had a potluck reception at his family's church in Pasadena. Backwards, yes, but beautiful if low budget. I told my bridesmaids to pick an era, any era...and a shade of blue that wouldn't clash with the sample I gave them.

We had everything from 8th century Viking to '40s party dress, in an indigo rainbow if you will. Okay, must be the antihistamines which have me reminiscing so...

Those of you that have your shirts: I see that they glow nicely..how are they doing for fit and comfort? Still waiting for mine (ordered the organic cotton, probably waiting for the seeds to germinate :) )

and back to snow: We received "snow" twice. They were really teeny tiny snowballs, made up of maybe 10-20 snowflakes apiece. It was odd...... But today was around 80 F, and the birds are chirping away merrily (must be the new feeder)..... cat considers it bird tv.

Warmer weather wishes to all those who are presently over-chilled...

At 17:48 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Lys, I give my shirt a score of 100% on all counts. Love it.

At 17:48 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Tried to edit, it wouldn't LET me!!

To explain, bridegroom's grandfather was Milt Wolf, architect of Max Factor building. *did* mention he was poor little rich boy Though the family hadn't owned it for years...

Poodles--yes, I've met some very intelligent and entertaining standard breds! Great fun to hang out with, though still not my cup of tea as a potential housemate. But those "grooming award" pics are pretty...uuuugghhh. I guess the pooch might enjoy the attention, but I still think it's wrong...

Oh no.....ariandalen's got her (hands?) on Spicy Brains. This can only end in tears :) hopefully of laughter!

Thanks, Sally! For any who may wish to peruse them, HERE is the link....remember, the entire commission (five dollars beyond spreadshirt's take) goes directly to Great Lakes Bengal Rescue. Janet will send donation receipts to you if you like. Giving to the kitties AND a glow in the dark cool t-shirt--a win/win! :) /end advert

At 18:15 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Should we do another tee for ST Pats? We could end up with an entire glow in the dark LINE, hee-hee....

New post will be late tonight. I have to do an airport run for the Guest that Boss has been waiting for all day (for those of you on twitter) and will be late home this eve, but I want to include Magic, and everything else I no doubt have to say....

At 18:16 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Did I miss an important Poodle Link?

Those people are going to Hell with the people who enter their kids in the pageant circuit (I am not talking about a local event for the fun of it, I am talking the horror circuit)

At 18:18 Anonymous Anonymous said...

I'm more than happy to set one up there, Q! Perhaps with some imagery this time....but we'd want the pic to glow as well, wouldn't we...

:)

Safe driving to pick up not-such-a-mystery guest :)

At 18:28 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Lys! Shhh. No one knows about this except the 33,3333 plus people following Boss on Twitter!

Lys - Holy crap, what a place to get married!

I get the FDA recalls in my emails (plenty of peanut emails lately) but i just got this one, do you think they thought twice about the company name?
"S and M (USA) Enterprise Corp. Issues an Alert on Uneviscerated White Herring (February 23)"

At 18:38 Blogger Chantrelle said...

Oh, about the shirt. I love it but got it MUCH too big. I'm used to women's size L shirts still being small and fitted on me, which this shirt is not. The sizes seem like real people sizes. I'm not a large, but in most girly shirts, i am!

At 18:51 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Chantrelle, see if you can trade with someone who hasn't got one yet, have them buy one in your size....

I am off on the airport run for Mystery Guest...

At 18:53 Blogger Chantrelle said...

Oh, good idea Q!

Anyone want a women's large? I'm guessing by the fit of this one i actually need a small! gasp!

At 18:57 Blogger AletaMay said...

Have a safe drive Q. Funny when someone escapes blizzards by coming here!

TommyB -- what a drag! But the new kitchen is lovely!

All those human and other not feeling well, you are in my thoughts.

I should look into getting one of those shirts! Why have I not done that yet?

At 18:58 Blogger dabbler said...

Just as a heads up, when I try to load Lys's link to where she was married, my virus checker (Avast) warns me that it contains a trojan...so I abort it.

Anyone else had trouble?

At 19:01 Blogger dabbler said...

My last comment sounds like it has to do with Planned parenthood... :-)

Just saying...

At 19:03 Blogger bengalgirl said...

Rubius, sorry to hear about Lamie and fatty liver disease, it is indeed a horrible thing and force feeding is necessary. Also consider having a feeding tube inserted, cats do well with them and it is easier than force feeding as it is necessary to get the right amount of food in.
Janet

At 19:24 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Dabbler;

It is the realtor's page, so seems unlikely. Plus my Firefox *and* my McAfee are set up to check pages before opening. So I'm not sure what to say, unless it has a weird cookie that is setting your checker off.

You can just google Milton Wolf, Wolfs Lair, Los Angeles, castle...some of those tags and you should get pages with pictures. I like the realtor one because it shows the inside, which I never got to see!

Though keep in mind, this was back in 1984 (when I was married.)

SHirt sizes--wow, Chantrelle. You definitely ordered the women's? And not the sleep shirt? (it is extra long..) Keep me posted, we will work this out.

And you made me snort my theraflu w/that last alert from the FDA :)

At 19:31 Blogger dabbler said...

Thanks, Lys, I was pretty sure it wasn't anything real, but thought I'd ask. Beautiful place!

And Chantrelle, the combination of S and M and 'uneviscerated' is...shall we say...disturbing, yeah, that'll do. Disturbing.

At 19:35 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Actually, I found the UNeviscerated aspect to be...well...rather reassuring.

It was the combination of S&M and herring that got me, frankly.

At 19:36 Anonymous Anonymous said...

AletaMay;

Not to get shirty about it :)

But seriously, have a look....no obligation....let me know if you need or want a different shirt type/style.

We gots options!

(dispirited wave) Hey all. *warm thoughts to Rubius about her beloved kitteh -- hope you can work out the force feeding thing!*

In the last few years, I have begun to suspect that what you worry about is not nearly as bad as what happens. In other words, reality hurts and hurts you bad when you are foolish enough to underestimate it. Today, that suspicion was confirmed... sigh.
