Kyle Cassidy Shoots Me, Bengals and the Horse too...

Kyle Cassidy came over and took some photos.
It's pretty easy to see why this made me very happy. We adore him. Hugely.

We start at the Spooky House. You get three that are rather alike, as I can't for the life of me decide....And we start with one Mad Lady with Bengal, of course. All the best stories start that way....

This is from a series called Mim and the Melon, out on the new Screamed porch....Venus declined the photo up today.

Tho he had never shot horses before (NOW we can't say "Kyle Cassidy shoots horses, doesn't he?") he took some GREAT shots. We'll do more over the next couple weeks, but this seems to me to be plenty for one day.

Thank you Kyle. Many, many times over.

Love and Really Cool Photos,
Lorraine

Really cool pictures all of them, but you and the horse.....yup.

Favorite.

So perfect. Truly awesome. The head-shots are just completely marvelous.

Fabulous.

Whatever. Perfect.

So much fun! And you both are fabulous. :-)

At 18:20 Blogger Dragonsally said...

Oh wow, stunning photos.

They've made me breathless. (that sounds a bit weird, but I love good photography)

At 18:30 Blogger vampi said...

wheres ariandalen with kyle's coat?

lovely pictures. i love how that last pic of mim make it seem like she is a kitten. mini-mim.

looks like a lovely day. that first pic with the house and bengal is so perfect.

At 18:46 Blogger Phiala said...

You're both fabulous. And talented, even if in different arts.

At 18:47 Blogger Phiala said...

P.S. I need a more interesting life!

At 18:51 Blogger Dragonsally said...

YOU need a more interesting life Phiala? I'm the one who went all breathless!!!!

At 19:01 Blogger vampi said...

honestly, i think you are interesting Phiala. i guess it's a whole the other pasture if greener thing, but you have definitely been exposed to experiences i have not, and that is interesting to me. also, the whole string thing is interesting as well. especially that really thin silk stuff you play with. my mind boggles at how you keep it untangled. :)

At 19:04 Blogger Phiala said...

Honestly, I wasn't fishing for reassurance. (This time.) I've done/still do all sorts of interesting things, but there's always room for improvement. :)

And Vampi, who says I keep it untangled? I have a bag full of unsalvageable knots that I can't bring myself to discard.

At 19:10 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Thanks! I love those photos. We did another shoot after I posted this, so there sure are more coming.

The rest of that shirt says, after the Come to the dark side bit, says "We have cookies"

I am watching a show on the Coolest Bathrooms Ever.

No reason, except perhaps, I am re-modeling my bathroom. The icky shower is going, and the clawfoot tub is out (lovely, but one can't BATHE in it, I keep plants there.

The horrible wallpaper is coming down,a nd I think the sink is moving.

Oh, and the tacky lights are OUT out out.

And I am getting a BATHtub, with glass doors and a shower in it. I may never leave it.

I think that's it tho.

At 19:15 Anonymous kali_licious said...

Wow! Great shots, every one.

Mim looks a bit nervous about that melon, but it brings the green in her eyes out nicely.

Horses are a lot of fun to photograph..the trick is trying to keep far enough away..they are sure that your camera contains treats..

At 19:18 Blogger vampi said...

will the tub retain it's planter lifestyle after the remodel? clawfoot tubs are just soo cool.

aww bag of knots, poor things.

i was just thinking how we are such a diverse group of people. i really do find reading what ya'll do so interesting.

At 19:22 Anonymous Anonymous said...

I vote for photo two in group one. Assuming you want the opinion of a imaginary skeleton boy.

At 19:40 Blogger ivenotime said...

Great pics!!! So nice to see mim and melon, and you with horse - glad riding has been going well. so behind on comments, resurfacing for a bit only to submerge myself again, your house looks lovely and spooky as befits you. Kyle, loved your idea on your livejournal - everyone should go and say Yes! sounds like great fun, and congrats on the recent nuptials.

At 19:42 Blogger Jess said...

I really like #3 of that first group, ashally. Love the color on Mim and the melon, too. And horsey in the second horsey pic. Good stuff!

At 19:52 Blogger Kitty Cat said...

my favorite is you in front of SPoOkY house.
we lovee the Kylees of all species.

At 19:56 Blogger El said...

Always beautiful, both you and the cats! I'm glad you had a fantastic time. (If forced to choose between the three photos I'd choose the middle one-- it looks delightfully spooky. I like the last one a lot but it's softer than the middle one.)

I am at my parent's house and I've been AWOL from the blogging world for quite some time-- hopefully I'll catch up tonight.

I hope all the fiends are doing wonderfully!

At 20:15 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

I DON'T THINK I COULD oops, caps lock, pick a fav, tho I am getting a new front photo for the main page from the second session we did today.

The clawtub is for sale, actually. It will not be in the bathroom anymore. I want a proper tub. AH, to come home and bath indoors. Not that I am dissing hottub mind you.

So, if you even wanted a claw tub, I gots one for sale.

At 20:34 Blogger Dragonsally said...

I just had to share this here, cut and pasted from an email because it is SO happy making

In the atrium of one of the buildings at the Mayo Clinic, there is a piano that sometimes people stop to play. Short and sweet. Fran and Marlo Cowan (married 62 years), playing impromptu recital together in the atrium of the Mayo Clinic. He was 90 in February

If I gave Kyle a white, buckled jacket he wouldn't be able to take such lovely pictures! Besides, I think he just might already have one. I will say this, though...

spicy! Spicy! SPICY!MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

At 23:02 Blogger Chantrelle said...

WOW! those are amazing pictures!!!

I always wanted a clawfoot tub until I actually used one. Now I have a wonderful jacuzzi tub and I'm a happy bather.

I feel like i've been going nonstop for days (except for this morning when playing Wii Super Mario Galaxy with ben...but even that is kinda stressful!) :P

I think it's bath night.

I don't think ben has school tomorrow but i don't know for sure...i hope he does, i ahve an appt. but if he doesn't, that's what the iPod is for, he gets to watch movies!

Off to decompress.

At 23:12 Blogger ariandalen said...

Hi, Sue! Are you finished with school for a few weeks, yet? I said, "Yes" to Kyle's idea, on page 15. Did you? :)

That video made me smile, Sally. Thanks!

At 23:14 Blogger ariandalen said...

Ms. Fabulous, my favorite picture from these is the one of you in front of Spooky House with Mim. :)

At 23:34 Blogger Lexocat said...

How gorgeous! Wow.

I think if I had to pick only one favorite it would be the first one in front of the house but my goodness they're all wonderful.

Good luck with bathroom remodeling. We've been remodeling the kitchen around here and it's so nice to see the transformations.

At 23:52 Blogger ivenotime said...

hi arian! yes, done with school, just finished up student show (we showcase all students in our gallery- lotta work but fun, great for students to see their work highlighted). i said yes too, what a great idea! right now i am dealing with trying to get ready for a show, and 7 inches of water in my crawl space, with 22 yrs of stuff floating.... or drying as we have hauled much out. what a nightmare! 22 yrs, never a drop of water....

oh, and hon, love how you keep up with the spicyness....

EW EW EW Ew EW.

Morning, Lo and all...
Quiet here...DD just left for week of Thoreau and Emerson study in the woods of western PA, followed by a solo 24 hrs in the woods, and then a final weekend that culminates the 12 years she's spent with most of her classmates. Intense. Leaves DH and I staring at each other..."who are you?" "Oh yeah, you're that guy/girl I married all those years ago..."

Well, not QUITE that bad, but it's a big change a coming, for sure! Makes me a bit weepy, to be hoonest.

At 09:09 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Beez is a mad gardener! OF course she is awake. I think she and Gayle are coming secretly while I am at work on Wednesday, full of evil garden plans for the spooky house.

I so have to go to work now...Chatter me nicely those of you who have the day off..

Having a pretty good day. Slept in a little, but not too much. Started another sock. I've missed having a plain sock on the needles. The monkey/sloth socks are not good for commuting and waiting, since they require a bit of thought. While working on the toe of the new plain sock, I noticed that the yarn is red and black, and this is Memorial Day, so I am calling them poppy socks.

Enjoyed the sci fi movie binge yesterday. Star Trek was quite good. The Wolverine movie was rather disappointing, and felt really long, but it was interesting to get some back story on the character.

Back to my knitting. I should finish the french press cozy, but the new socks beckon. Hope everyone is having or has had a good day, whether at work or at play.

At 12:52 Blogger Beez said...

Spectacular day outside. I am getting my veggies planted in my raised beds here at the apartment and then after we close on the duplex I will put in veggies there too....mmmmmm double veggies. Grilling, here we come.

I like all the photos that Kyle Cassidy took, but the look on your face in the horse pics is what makes them my favorites. You look so calmly happy. Zen with horse.

At 13:12 Blogger FabulousLorraine said...

Yes, do tell her! I think that hive is just taking things easy, and it will surprise us yet.

Yes, tour does start soon. Have decided I need a holiday and am going to come with you for the Jonas Bros summer. Ah, a nice relaxing tour. JUST what I need!

I am zen with my horse, it's such a great way to start the day, and it's all about just me and the horses and my friends there.( Boss and the houseguests did come with me Saturday, that was really fun tho) I'm getting pretty good at it too, this riding thing.

At 13:40 Blogger vampi said...

i'm all fail blogger today and posted on the wrong post.

can i caption that last mim photo "indiana mim and the melon of doom"

reminds me of the scene where indy is running from the big boulder...lol.

At 13:49 Blogger dabbler said...

Vampi...ice on the back, 20 min on, 20 min off is what helps me...hope you too!

DH and I have now planted tomatoes in raised bed made from trash picked child's swimming pool, and trimmed back mondo Yew bushes, allowing the diving board of large pool to be used. Hitting head on yew branches while bouncing=bad. Pool has slowly growing puddle in deep end. Will be full by maybe Wednesday....

Star Trek next!

At 13:52 Blogger dabbler said...

Sad about bees this year. Huge blooming holly used to buzz loudly enough to be heard ten+ feet away. This year there is barely a murmur.

And our green and lovely pool, uncovered all winter, had NO frogs. Another disturbing sign of diminishing wildlife. No shortage of mosquitoes, squirrels or ants, however.

At 14:43 Blogger Tamlyn Leigh said...

These pictures are fantastic :) I look forward to the next set.

Also wanted to say I truly wish I could adopt one of the bengals in the previous post. Alas I live on the other side of the world... I do hope they all find a good food and cuddle giver, whom will adore them for the rest of their lives

At 14:49 Blogger Na said...

OSS, I saw Wolverine yesterday, too. Had heard so much neg about it, I went in with low expectations, and subsequently came away thinking, it wasn't bad. IMO, not enough of Gambit. Maybe not a great film, but not by any stretch the lamest movie ever made.

Also fun, I may have a movie buddy now. Another mama at my son's school mentioned that she really wanted to see Wolverine, so we ditched the kids with their respective other parents and went.

Chantrelle, are you still in all-purpose-parent mode? I start again tomorrow.

At 15:37 Blogger One Sock Short said...

Na - No, not bad really. I would probably have enjoyed it more if I had watched it before ST. Yay on finding a movie buddy. That makes things much more fun.

Phoebe just stole my chair, even though I expressly told her I was coming back. Guess that's a hint to me to put the sock down and do some housework. Turns out Boss makes as good a knitting buddy as a walking buddy. I'm going great guns on the plain sock while listening to Neverwhere. Somehow the afternoon just disappeared.

At 15:45 Blogger EmilyLady said...

Congratulations on finding a movie buddy, Na. I love the term. Movie Buddy.
